SB19 does it again. But this time, on a grander scale—being nominated to the Billboard Music Awards alongside Blackpink, Ariana Grande, BTS and Seventeen. Yes, we are here for the representation.
Just a few years ago, SB19 was on the verge of breaking up—not knowing that soon after they’d get a million hits on YouTube, a global fanbase, become a music mainstay in Billboard and be nominated as “Top Social Artist.” What does this mean for us Filipinos and why is this important? Because this is the first time that a Pinoy act has been nominated at the BBMAs. “We have the Filipino boys, just like me, representing!” as Bretman Rock says.
