Believe it or not, we are now just two months away from the end of 2022. Where did the time go, right? But even if the year is entering its final moments, that doesn’t mean the movies and shows coming our way are slowing down. The QCinema film festival is set to run for most of the month and Disney+ is finally coming to the Philippines on November 17. If your 2022 watchlist is still pretty hefty, prepare to make it even longer as November is chock full of brand new entertainment to devour. From rom-coms, superhero flicks, the early onslaught of Christmas movies, and more, get ready for a month filled with new titles looking to satisfy a variety of tastes.
THE FABULOUS
A K-drama set in the world of the fashion industry? That’s a yes from us. For that new K-drama you’re looking to binge this November, we suggest you check out The Fabulous. This series stars Chae Soo Bin and Choi Min Ho as it follows the exciting and often dramatic world of the fashion industry. The eight episode show explores how a group of young people navigate the crazy world, all while managing their personal lives, needs, and goals. The Fabulous premiers on Netflix on November 4.
ENOLA HOLMES 2
The titular teen sleuth is back once more. The sequel follows Enola Holmes as she enters young adulthood as a detective-for-hire looking to break free from the shadow of her brother, Sherlock. But her first official case proves to be harder than she thought as the young detective is pushed into a deadly conspiracy theory. The film arrives on Netflix November 4.
SELENA GOMEZ: MY MIND & ME
Over the years, Selena Gomez hasn’t been afraid of using her platform to speak up on her own mental health struggles and striving for the well-being of others. To that end, My Mind & Me, her upcoming documentary paints an intimate picture of her rise to superstardom and the deeply personal struggles she’s faced mentally, emotionally, and physically. The film follows the star across six years as she learns to find that new light, which makes this a compelling watch with an important message to tell. The movie begins streaming on Apple TV+ on November 4.
BLACK PANTHER 2: WAKANDA FOREVER
The death of King T’Challa and Chadwick Boseman has shook the MCU. And Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever looks to navigate the fallout. The sequel follows our favorite heroes and characters as they try to move on with their lives. But their mourning doesn’t last long as Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M’Baku, Okoye, and the Dora Milaje must work together to stop Namor and his underwater people from taking revenge on Wakanda. Aside from that, the movie will also introduce Ironheart into the MCU before her eventual series down the line. Catch the finale of Phase 4 of the MCU when Wakanda Forever arrives in theaters on November 9.
SAVAGE X FENTY SHOW VOL 4
Rihanna recently got the world talking with her 2023 Super Bowl Halftime performance and return to music. Fans can expect to see more of Riri as volume 4 of her acclaimed Savage x Fenty show is dropping this month. As with previous editions, vol 4 promises to feature a cadre of diverse models and famous faces modeling the brand’s latest pieces with well-choreographed musical performances sprinkled throughout. It all makes for a fashion show that will give you an experience unlike any other. The show streams on Prime Video beginning November 9.
FALLING FOR CHRISTMAS
Musicians and fashion trends aren’t the only thing making a comeback this 2022. So are actors, and the latest one is one of our fave teen queens of the 2000s, Lindsay Lohan, with her very first Netflix movie. It centers on a spoiled and recently engaged heiress, Sierra (Lohan), who loses her memory after a skiing accident near Christmas. After being diagnosed with amnesia, she finds herself in the care of a handsome and widowed lodge owner (Chord Overstreet) and his daughter. We’re just hoping it’s a good movie in general because we’re ready for LiLo’s comeback. Falling For Christmas streams on Netflix beginning November 10.
THE WONDER
When it comes to the It actresses of 2022, few compare to the year that Florence Pugh has had, so far. From Marvel to sci-fi tinged thrillers, Miss Flo has done it all. And this November, we’re about to get more of her with The Wonder, a period drama set in 1860s Ireland that centers on a nurse (Pugh) who is asked to check a girl who hasn’t eaten in months yet looks perfectly healthy. As you can expect, sinister things maybe lurking in the back. You can catch Florence in her latest film when it drops on Netflix on November 16.
1899
While Halloween may be over, the spooky vibes continue. And this November, we look to be getting that from 1899. This series centers on a group of immigrant traveling to the new world. But on their journey, they discover a nightmarish riddle aboard an abandoned ship in the ocean that leads to a dark series of events. The time period, setting, and central mystery already have us sold. But the fact that it comes from the creators of Dark has us itching to get to the bottom of the show. 1899 premiers on Netflix on November 17.
DISENCHANTED
The long, long awaited Enchanted sequel, Disenchanted, is finally coming. Set after the events of the first movie, Giselle, Robert, and Morgan decide to move to the suburb of Monroeville to build a new life for themselves. But when Giselle decides to wish for that fairytale life, their world gets turned upside down and threatens to not only destroy her family, but the Kingdom of Andalasia.
Based on the trailer, it seems that Giselle might become the bad guy in the movie, which is interesting to say the least. The movie also getting only a Disney+ release instead of a theatrical one has also raised some eyebrows. But were still hopeful that Disenchanted still retains the magic of the original classic. The film arrives on Disney+ on November 18.
SLUMBERLAND
From director Francis Lawrence comes this comic adaptation set in the world of dreams and nightmares. When a young orphan discovers that she has the ability to travel to the dreamworld, she teams with up an outlaw (Jason Momoa) as the two travel through dreams and escape nightmares as she tries to find her missing father. Jump into this magical world when the movies drops on Netflix on November 18.
BONES AND ALL
Luca Guadagnino reunites with Timothée Chalamet once more for a movie that’s equal parts romantic and bloody. Set in 1980’s Midwest, Bones and All tells the story of Maren (Taylor Russell) who is abandoned by her father and finds her first love in Lee (Chalamet), an intense and disenfranchised drifter.
Together, the unlikely pair sets out on a cross-country journey as they revel in their shared desire to feast on human flesh until the society’s judgment of their dark secret forces them to reckon with their terrifying past and to test whether their love for each other can survive their otherness. If a film auteur’s takes on cannibalistic love intrigues you, then see for yourself how the story unfolds when it arrives in cinemas on November 23.
AN INCONVENIENT LOVE
Star Cinema is finally back on the big screen. And what better way to do it then with the latest film of Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano. From director Petersen Vargas comes An Inconvenient Love, the story of Ayef, a convenience store clerk looking to move to Singapore, and Manny, a boutique plant shop owner and covert activist, who both agree to engage in a one-month contractual fling, believing that love is just another inconvenience. But this belief is put to test as their temporary romance’s expiration date draws near. The hype is real and we can’t wait to see DonBelle in what looks to be their most mature roles to date. The film arrives in theaters on November 23.
WEDNESDAY
We have yet another reboot on the way, and this time it stars the dark daughter of the Addams Family, Wednesday. This go around, Tim Burton gives his take on Wednesday as new-gen actress Jenna Ortega becomes the latest actress to play the role. The series follows her during her stay at the Nevermore Academy.
As she learns to navigate the complicated dynamics of the school and master her bubbling psychic powers, Wednesday finds herself solving who is behind a slate of killings as well as untangling a mystery with ties to her parents. Fun fact: Christina Ricci, who played Wednesday in the 1990 Addams Family movies, is appearing in this series, though as a different character. Wednesday streams on Netflix beginning November 23.
THE GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY HOLIDAY SPECIAL
The MCU is back for its second holiday special, and right on time for the Christmas season. For the Guardians of the Galaxy’s latest adventure, they head to earth as the gang look to cheer Peter up who is currently mourning the loss of Gamora. To that end, Mantis and Drax go find the “legendary Kevin Bacon” to give to Peter as a special gift. And as expected, all kinds of holiday hijinks ensues. You can catch the special beginning November 25 on Disney+.
TRIANGLE OF SADNESS
If you ever wanted to know how each the rich would look like in movie form, Triangle of Sadness is the one for you. Director Ruben Östlund returns with his first film in five years in this dark comedy satire on social classes. The film’s plot centers on fashion model couple Carl (Harris Dickinson) and Yaya (Charlbi Dean) as they embark on a luxury cruise adventure along with other members of the uber wealthy. All appears Instagrammable and like a dream at first, but tragedy strikes when the passengers are hit with heavy seasickness during the seven-course captain’s dinner and a storm hits the boat.
They soon become stranded on a desert island with just the billionaires and a cleaning lady (Dolly de Leon) to look out for each other. If the story and acclaim of this Palme d’Or-winning film is not enough for you, then know it features a stunning performance by Dolly de Leon that may say will get her an Oscar nomination. Needless to say, you don’t want to miss this. The movie arrives on local cinemas on November 30.
NCT DREAM THE MOVIE: IN A DREAM
While a solo NCT Dream concert in Manila isn’t in the cards (yet), Filipino NCTzens still can catch their concert with very first concert film, NCT Dream The Movie: In A Dream. The movie is coming to local cinemas but for a very limited time so make sure to plan accordingly. It will be carried exclusively by SM Cinemas with two dates on November 30 and December 3.

While these shows aren’t new, they are premiering new seasons you should check out. Titans Season 4 (November 3), The Crown Season 5 (November 9), Warrior Nun Season 2 (November 10).
