While TikTok may be the new hot social media app, the grip that YouTube and its creators had on young viewers back in the 2010s was something else. Your subscription list was probably filled with your favorite creators that ranged from comedy, lifestyle, reactions, gaming, and many more. As a way to celebrate these creators and all things YouTube, the video platform staged the YouTube Fanfest, a yearly event that brought together some of the biggest creators across the world in one place. The past couple of years saw the event move to an online livestream set-up due to the pandemic. But this 2022, it’s back to an in-person event for its 10th anniversary. And the roster of creators and performers this year include quite a few local names.
YOUTUBE FANFEST TURNS 10
Recently, YouTube announced that the Fanfest was finally making its return to an on-ground activity for its first live show in two years. Given how the festival will be celebrating its 10th year this 2022, this feels like a welcome return. And speaking of return, YouTube Fanfest 2022 will be heading to Singapore once more. Over 18 creators across Asia will appear live on stage for the occasion. That line-up includes the first family of dancing aka Ranz Kyle, Niana, and Natalia Guerrero who undoubtedly will be setting the stage on fire. (figuratively, of course.) Joining the siblings in the roster is fellow dancer extraordinaire AC Bonifacio. Will we be seeing a Niana x AC dance collab stage? Fingers crossed.
Dozens more Asian stars and creators set to perform and appear via livestream. P-pop kings SB19 will be performing on the stream, marking the second time the group has performed in YouTube Fanfest. Vlogger Claudine Co, chef Ninong Ry, and comedian Tita Krissy Achino will also appear during the livestream. Some of the content creators will also be holding some virtual meet and greets from November 17 to 21. Keep an eye out on their social media pages for details.
HOW TO WATCH
