You know Alden Richards as an actor, singer, and an occasional gamer. But one thing you may not know about Asia’s Multimedia Star is that he is a massive fan of Iron Man. While he is an avid collector, Iron Man isn’t the only figure he collects. However, his love for the Marvel superhero is on a level few can truly match. HE HAS SHELVES FULL OF IRON MAN TOYS, COLLECTABLES, AND FIGURINES
For some people, owning a few toys and collectibles of their favorite characters is enough. But for Alden Richards, his Iron Man collection is so big, it could have its own room. Most of Alden’s collection is in his bedroom where he has shelves filled with Iron Man figures and toys. They run the gamut from small figures to mid-size detailed statues that reach up to Alden’s waist. His collection also features the many different armors Iron Man has worn in the comics and movies. And believe it or not, Alden’s Iron Man collection in his bedroom, some of which were given by fans and others bought by him, isn’t his full collection. According to the actor, he still has more in storage and boxes of unopened Iron Man toys.
HE HAS A LIFE-SIZE STATUE OF IRON MAN IN HIS BEDROOM
It’s one thing to own figures and toys of Iron Man and display them on shelves. But it’s a whole completely different thing to have your own life-size statue of Iron Man. Given Alden Richard’s love for Iron Man, it’s no surprise then to learn that he has a life-sized statue of Iron Man that he displays in his bedroom. The six-foot statue has been featured a few times and you can get a good look at it during the house tour he did in 2017. These statues don’t come cheap though as they can set you back hundreds of thousands of pesos.
WHEN HE DIDN’T WANT ENDGAME TO BE SPOILED
Avengers Infinity War had one of the biggest movie cliffhangers in recent years. So, when Endgame was finally released, people were clamoring to see how the Avengers would rebound against Thanos. Along with the clamor was the plea of many people to not spoil Endgame. One of those people to make that plea was Alden Richards. He took to Instagram post a picture with the caption “NO ENDGAME SPOILERS.” But what made it even sweeter was that he didn’t want to be spoiled because of his love of Iron Man and his eagerness to see his character development and reunion with Captain America.
HE IS THE PROUD OWNER OF THE MARK 50 SUIT FROM QUEEN STUDIOS
Alden’s Iron Man collection is already enviable, and most-prized possession, his Mark 50 suit may be the most covetable to date. The most recent entry on this list, Alden got his hands on this extremely valuable piece with the help of Anotoys PH, a local toy seller Alden has frequented on multiple occasions. The Mark 50 suit, which was made by Queen Studios in London, is the first Iron Man suit made with nanotechnology and was first seen in Infinity War. It’s such a valuable piece that it even comes with its own certificate. To top it all off, there are only 66 pieces in existence and Alden Richards is now an owner of one of those pieces.
WHEN HE WISHED TO BE LIKE IRON MAN
Alden Richards loves Iron Man so much that it’s no surprise then that he would post a lot of pictures of his collection on social media. But one post that really exemplified his love for the character was when he captioned a post with “I’m (a soon to be) billionaire. (NOT a) playboy, (aspiring) philanthropist. I am Ironman.” TBH, if Alden did put his heart and mind to it, he could definitely be like Iron Man.
