If ever there was an award for favorite reaction to the UAAP Cheerdance competition, these tweets would probably be finalists.
While the holidays may have December on lock, it isn’t just Christmas and the end of the year to look forward to in the month. The start of the last month of the year is also UAAP’s Cheerdance competition, which sees the eight UAAP schools battle it out on the dancefloor as each school’s cheer team riles up the crowd with their routine.
This year, Season 86 had the FEU Cheering Squad come out on top and take home the crown they last won in Season 84. With a Super Mario Bros themed routine, the Tamaraws went a level up for the championship win. In second place was last season’s winner NU Pep Squad, who wowed the 18k-strong crowd at MOA Arena with their Elvis Presly-themed performance. The UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe, meanwhile, brought the black-yellow in your area with their BLACKPINK-themed showcase and took home second runner-up.
