P-pop had a memorable 2022 thanks in part to an abundance of bangers. Which comeback though served as your favorite of the year?
If people thought that the new gen P-pop wave was going to quiet down this 2022, they thought wrong. In fact, the year proved to be a one where the sub genre grew bigger. Along with the continued success of established acts like SB19, BGYO, MNL48, and BINI, the past twelve months also saw seminal events like the very first P-POP CON, the Tugatog Music Festival, and Popstival. New groups made their debut and brought with them their own special flavors to the table. Meanwhile, shows like Top Class and Dream Maker brought the P-pop dream to the airwaves.
And of course, we can’t forget the music that P-pop groups and soloists gave us throughout 2022. There were quite a few comebacks we waited for, ready to enjoy their latest offering. But with so many P-pop comebacks happening in the last twelve months, we wanted to know, which one was your favorite? Which comeback stood out to you the most and remains a staple of your playlist even as we are about to enter 2023? Vote for your pick/s below. Voting ends on December 21, Wednesday, 9:00 AM PH time.
UPDATE: The voting is now over and the results are in. Congratulations to Press Hit Play’s Tell Me for being voted as the favorite P-pop comeback of 2022. The group’s disco-laced single proved to be so catchy and addicting that it was the top favorite among voters.
