WATERBOMB is coming to Manila—and oh, boy, do we have a wishlist of performers.

Heads up, you’re in the splash zone! WATERBOMB is coming to Manila, and we’re already packing our waterproof bags. Originating from South Korea, the water-themed music festival brings together K-pop, hip-hop, R&B, EDM, dance, performance, and more into one epic summer celebration that both brings the heat and cools you down—with water guns and water cannons.

This year’s WATERBOMB in Seoul saw multiple South Korean artists go viral for being scorching hot on that stage. From Huta (BTOB) to Baekho (NU’EST), Minho and Taemin (SHINee) to Julie (Kiss of Life), these artists made a splash (literally) as they performed in the music festival.

Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman also made an appearance at the festival as part of their press tour, armed not with katanas and Adamantium claws, but water guns! WATERBOMB Seoul has been their biggest event yet, and if that’s just a sneak peek of what we could be getting right here in the Philippines, then count us in.

WATERBOMB WORLD TOUR

This year, the festival has gone bigger than ever, as they bring the festival to 11 different countries and even more cities including Japan, Los Angeles, Bali, Bangkok, Manila, and more. With our dislike for the heat and love for music, festivals, and fun, WATERBOMB in Manila seems like a perfect fit. Details such as the dates and lineup have yet to be announced, but we already have a dream lineup in mind, which you can read about below. BINI have earned their place as one of the top stars of this generation, and we know they can put on a show in a festival like no other. So as the queens of summer, WATERBOMB would be a great place for them to be.

WATERBOMB staple and now pretty much a festival mainstay, soloist and GOT7 member YUGYEOM will hopefully make an appearance in Manila for the festival. His dance skills, idol charisma, and smooth music would be great to witness on that stage.

After their captivating performance in WATERBOMB in Seoul, Kiss of Life have proven they’ve got what it takes to command a stage and have some fun while being super extra.

Singer-songwriter, MAMAMOO member, and Maria singer Hwasa also performed at WATERBOMB Seoul. She was also part of the lineup at this year’s Wanderland music festival, so it’s not a far-off hope to have her return.

B.I

The rapper and singer-songwriter really should drop by Manila again. B.I, or Hanbin, has been booked and busy with WATERBOMB schedules, so hopefully that streak continues and he’s flying back to the Philippines soon to get drenched and perform for his adoring fans.
