Something must be in the water because the first full week of September is packed with releases from some of our fave artists. But not like we’re complaining. If anything, it’s going to be a struggle deciding which new song to listen to first. And if that’s your struggle, we got you covered with our round up of some of the weeks best new releases, albums, songs, and more. The playlist is about to get popping with these new inclusions.

GET HIM BACK! – OLIVIA RODRIGO

When he treats you badly, it’s only fair you give him the taste of his own medicine. Or at least, that’s the route Olivia Rodrigo is going in this raucous anthem of plotting to get your ex back for not-so-genuine reasons.

SLOW DANCING – V

As the album title’s suggest, Layover is V in a more natural and laid-back setting. It is a pop-R&B album fused with V’s individuality and sensibility and gets up close and personal with the artist on a genuine level.

TAPUSIN NA NATIN – JUAN KARLOS AND PAOLO BENJAMIN

In a surprise collaboration, Juan Karlos Ben&Ben’s Paolo Benjamin team up for a somber ballad that expresses bitterness and anger towards a person. The tack is written for someone who feels defeated towards a failing relationship, and simply demands for the pain to stop.

BONGOS – CARDI B AND MEGAN THEE STALLION

After shocking the world in 2020 with WAP, Cardi and Megan reunite once more for a less sexuality explicit but still bombastic collab.

DREAMER – LAUFEY

Laufey was right to call her second album Bewitched with the way it had us in a trance for the duration of the entire LP. Watch our for her, she’s bringing jazz to the new generation.

I DO – D.O.

Our first taste of D.O’s newest solo album is this heart-fluttering love song about hoping and wishing your special someone will say yes during the special moment. Sana all.

OKSIHINA – DIONELA AND MEIZY MENDOZA

A display of love, life, and death, this haunting track, from Dionela shies away from the usual display of love as it expresses the last words of a lover who is on the brink of death.

BUT SOMETIMES – BOYNEXTDOOR

A compelling electric guitar sound and straightforward lyrics in BOYNEXTDOOR’s latest comeback illustrate the realization that the amount of love and effort put into a relationship is never equal. Trying one’s hardest to be ‘the one’ sometimes can’t prevent two people from parting ways.

OTHER BOYS – MARSHMELLOW AND DOVE CAMERON

This Marshmallow and Dove Cameron team up delivers a sultry long song about having eyes for only one boy wrapped in club-worthy house music.

SUPER FLY – ZAE

The boss energy is turned to 11 in Zae’s baddie track that will have you shaking with its killer beat.

I LOVE MY BODY – HWASA

Hwasa’s latest solo release is an unapologetic body positivity anthem as she continues to champion realistic beauty standards and welcoming all types of bodies to the spotlight.

ONCE MORE – D4VD

d4vd’s newest EP is a five song collection that offers a more intimate and stripped-down glimpse at his artistry than ever before.

GET A GUITAR – RIIZE

SM Entertainment’s newest boy group makes their debut with a fun, funky, and groovy song that makes the acoustic instrument even more romantic.

MY LOVE – LEIGH-ANNE AND AYRA STARR

Leigh-Anne and Ayra Starr eat down in this afro-beat track all about having that special kind of love no one can compare to.

Q – YOUNG COCOA

If this short and autotune-heavy experimental track teaches us anything, it’s that Young Cocoa has his lane in the R&B department.
