For her latest album, Taylor Swift decided to look within and make music those deep thoughts and feelings she experiences on Midnights. Meanwhile, Maroon and Midnight Rain will have you teary-eyed. It all makes for an LP that takes the listener on an emotional journey.

THE CAR – ARCTIC MONKEYS

A new Arctic Monkeys album? All our faves our really treating us to new music and we absolutely love it. While it’s been over four years since their last album, the wait was worth it with The Car.

ANTIFRAGILE – LE SSERAFIM

LE SSERAFIM 2-0 is back with new music in their latest comeback, ANTIFRAGILE. This go-around, the group goes for an Afro-Latin style of pop with a hard-hitting Latin rhythm. And it works so well for them. But aside from an addicting sound, ANTIFRAGILE also carries a message of accepting hard times as a motivation for growth and reasserting one’s determination to become stronger.

BOYS LIKE YOU – ITZY

We never thought we’d see the Taylorification of ITZY, yet here we are. But jokes aside, the girl group’s first English single is not that bad. It’s very bubble gum teen bop and there’s nothing wrong with that. Special shoutout though to Chaeryeong’s high note at the end. She did that!

SURRENDER MY HEART – CARLY RAE JEPSEN

October 21 is a major day for pop girls and their new albums. One that you should not miss is Carly Rae Jepsen’s The Loneliest Time. As expected, Carly did not disappoint with a pop-disco album that feels fresh all while showcasing her maturity.

NXDE – (G)I-DLE

G(I)-DLE proves yet again that their concept game is one of the best in the industry. Their latest comeback, Nxde, mixes both old and the new for a track that’s both catchy and empowering. The girls better call out those people who try to demean them.

PUEDE BA – MAYMAY ENTRATA

Maymay Entrata’s pop star era continues with her banger of a new pop song, Puede Ba. The song is the definition of charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent, as Maymay serves confidence in a catchy beat.

AALIS KA BA? – I BELONG TO THE ZOO

Who’s cutting onions? Oh wait, it’s just I Belong to the Zoo’s new heart wrenching track, Aalis Ka Ba? The guitar-driven tune focuses on a love in its dissolution and realizing things are about to end.

LET IT DIE – ELLIE GOULDING

With a throbbing bass and 80s synths behind her, Ellie Goulding delivers a powerful number about how it’s time to end a relationship that isn’t working.

MAGNET – BGYO

If Magnet is a foreshadow for things to come, then BGYO’s sophomore album is about to be that serve. The P-pop boy group’s sensual swag mixed with the funky production all help make Magnet a bop from start to finish. Gelo and Mikki’s parts in particular deserve praise as the highlight of the track.

LIQUID COURAGE – PAOLO SANDEJAS

You miss all the shots you don’t take, literally and figuratively, and this is what Paolo Sandejas’ new single is all about. His easygoing energy is on display once more as the OPM artist sings about a woman he wants to get to know more. And it also doesn’t help if you have a little bit of alcohol aka liquid courage.

FASHION – RAMENGVRL

Indonesian rapper Ramengvrl put her whole personality into this song and it shows. FASHION is a pure baddie anthem for the girls and the gays that’s all about feeling yourself as you strut down the runway, wherever that may be.
