Congratulations, you made it through the first week of July. As a treat, why not reward yourself by adding to your playlist new bops to help you get through the rest of the month? And luckily, we listed down ten of the week’s best new tracks that fit the bill. From emotional ballads to pop ditties, here are the tracks that you don’t want to miss.
BACK TO DECEMBER (TAYLOR’S VERSION) – TAYLOR SWIFT
As if Back To December couldn’t get any better, here goes Taylor sending us on a tailspin even further. And as for the Vault tracks, we just know I Can See You was made when she was in heat.
FALLIN – ZACK TABUDLO AND NASTY C
Zack and South African rapper Nasty C turn their Coke Studio collab into an earworm of a pop-hip-hop track that we don’t mind seeing Zack experiment more with in the future.
DO IT LIKE THAT – TOMORROW X TOGETHER AND JONAS BROTHERS
One of our fave boybands from our childhood and one from today come together to give us this admittedly quick but breezy pop number.
GOLDEN HOUR – JVKE AND SB19
SB19 better get that international collab. Aside from the fact that they bodied that vocally, we love how their verse was in Filipino and included soul-lifting elements of gospel choir.
SUPER SHY – NEWJEANS
With a beat that hits in all the right places, Super Shy it that kind of pop track that we wouldn’t expect less from with NewJeans.
GABI – JUAN KARLOS AND ZILD
Besties Zild and juan karlos reunite once more for a friendship anthem that follows the story of two friends trying to piece together a broken heart and captures what true friendship means in the modern world.
BARBIE DREAMS – FIFTY FIFTY AND KALIII
This bubblegum pop number is the kind of track Barbie would play on full blast whenever she burns rubber on the road.
ROLLER COASTER – NMIXX
The thing about NMIXX is that the group will always give you something new with their music. And this time, they gave us their take on a house beat in what is one of their most addicting songs to date. It gave what needed to be given.
FLYING KITES – THE JUANS
The Juans get autobiographical as they reminisce on their childhood and retain the love that drives their passions for their dreams.
BB – YGIG
With a confidence you would normally expect from a seasoned group, YGIG lays down the rules in this angas-infused pop-trap single.
