At the first-ever Creator’s Fest in Manila, Sony brought together the best in content creation tools and experts to spark storytellers’ creativity.
It seems like everyone wants to be a content creator these days. And can you blame them? With the joy of pure creation at its heart, digital content creation gives everyone the opportunity to express themselves and meet communities of users who share the same interests and dreams.
Set to the backdrop of historical Intramuros, Sony brought to Manila their first-ever Creator’s Fest. After a heartfelt welcome from Sony Philippines’ President, Shuhei Sugihara, reaffirming Sony’s commitment to building a digital landscape by empowering digital creators and natives alike with their products, the exclusive event began. With a promise of an afternoon of immersive and educational experiences, attendees got to explore the new wave of cutting-edge technology supporting the country’s creatives while also reigniting their passion for the craft of content creation.

The highlight – or highlights rather – of the event was the experiential zones. Various sessions were led by expert creators in various fields to give guests hand-on demonstrations on how to improve their craft. From food and lifestyle bar and action to beauty and fashion, attendees got to see firsthand some of best practices from some of the best in the business.
First course on the menu for the day was the food photography session led by none other than Erwan Heussaff and Abi Marquez. The powerful combo that was The Fat Kid Inside Studios founding father and TikTok’s Lumpia Queen showed participants how to elevate their food diaries with tips on indoor lighting, creative plating, and highlighting texture and color of dishes. Held at Barbara’s Heritage Restaurant, creators learned how to elevate their food shots to restaurant-quality levels.
An exciting refresher for the day was the live cocktail flaring at Hikaru Bar. More than a fun activity to keep the energy flowing, the session served as the perfect opportunity for YouTuber Jessica Lee to demonstrate how to capture fast-moving objects for dynamic and dramatic results.
Travels, trips, and vacays are moments to cherish forever. There to showcase how best to capture the story through photography was content creator Anjohn Sozra. In collaboration with Herschel, attendees were taught how to work with natural light, interesting architecture, and human subjects for compelling travel content.
Fashion can be the ultimate expression of personal style. Filmmaker Janina Manipol and Actor Marco Gallo teamed up to show participants how to level up their fashion photography to editorial status even outside a professional studio. Powered by Aputure PH, the duo showed how soft, outdoor lighting can really capture the unique identities of any garment.
Serving as the final course of the day, digital creator Jaz Reyes partnered with Ellana Cosmetics to share her beauty photography secrets to the audience of budding creators. With an emphasis on light and shadow and texture, guests learned how to take powerful product shots that can stop people from scrolling.
All in all, participants got their fill of skills and techniques from some of the biggest content creators of the day, empowering them as the next generation of creatives. And we’re looking forward to seeing how all that plays out.
