Nothing like celebrating the month of love with some beloved dishes, desserts, food, and snacks. Satisfying our cravings is 100% an exercise of self-love, and whether that’s a full meal at a café or restaurant or a snack we can’t stop shoveling down our throats during a stressful work afternoon, we’ve racked up a new list of faves that have kept us happy and will for sure keep your taste buds happy, too. Check out the food and snacks that hit the spot this February!

Yabu’s Crispy Katsudon  – Raf Bautista, Deputy Editor

As a Yabu fanatic, I was excited to learn that their Yabu flagship store recently opened. And I was even more excited to try the store-exclusive Crispy Katsudon. True to its name, the breading is crispy af while the meat is juicy and flavorful and the special sauce adds a nice, satisfying touch. The addition of the egg and rice brings it all together. I think I found a new favorite dish in Yabu, and it’s one that’s worth the splurge.

Matcha Soft Serve at the Matcha Tokyo – Bianca Lao, Sr. Brand Associate

My ultimate comfort dessert is a Matcha Soft Serve in a cone, and I fear no one has done it as well as the Matcha Tokyo. Their soft serve is a perfect balance of sweet and the bitterness that matcha naturally has. The soft serve is also dusted with a matcha crumble that serves as a crunchy surprise. While it’s a on the pricier side for an ice cream cone, I highly suggest it for those days you need to treat yourself.

Deuces Coffee Cereal Milk in Toasted Cinnamon – Precy Tan, Copywriter

Deuces Coffee’s Cereal Milk in Toasted Cinnamon is everything I love in a drink—dairy-free. As someone who doesn’t like the OG taste of milk, cereal milk flavors always hit differently, and this one nails that perfect balance of creamy and cinnamon-y goodness. It’s like sipping on the best part of breakfast without the heaviness, making it an instant favorite.

Gotbaked Chocolate Chip Croissant – Gelo Quijencio, Multimedia Artist

The Gotbaked Chocolate Chip Croissant is the perfect balance of flaky, buttery layers and rich, melty chocolate that makes every bite irresistible. It has the ideal texture—crispy on the outside, soft and airy inside—giving that satisfying crunch followed by a melt-in-your-mouth experience.

Odd Cafe Kimchi Fried Rice and Trader Joe’s Jingle Jangle Pretzel Twists – Nica Glorioso, Features Writer

I love a meal that’s just so easy to eat. The Odd Cafe Kimchi Fried Rice is a filling and delicious rice bowl made with their homemade kimchi, garlic, tofu egg, and spring onions. It’s savory and a fried rice worth adding to your fried rice rotation.

It pains me that there are only six pretzels in the Trader Joe’s Jingle Jangle Pretzel Twists (and that it’s a limited edition item). This is such an addictive snack—think Everything Bagel but in sweet, peanut-butter-and-chocolate-covered pretzel form. On the salty-sweet and ultra-crunchy pretzel are mini candy-covered chocolate and crushed up cookie bits. So good.

Egg Tarts Manila Dulce de Leche Egg Tart – Renzo Lumanog, Media Channels Associate Producer

Egg Tarts Manila prides itself on baking their tarts fresh daily, and the quality of their offerings really show. They have unique flavor combinations, but the Dulce de Leche is decadent and also has great depth of flavor. It’s a super cravable snack item.
