Ten years ago, the local fashion scene was lowkey shook with the official arrival of H&M in the Philippines. What was once a brand you could only have if you went abroad or gifted as pasalubong from family and friends, H&M quickly became a go-to closet option for many of the country’s trendsetters, and for some, even being one of the first brands they wore in their fashion journey.
Ten years later, the Swedish brand is still going strong locally, and in honor of their decade in the country, H&M recently celebrated the milestone with a star-studded, sensory experience like no other. Get a peek into what went down at their exclusive anniversary celebration.
RED-Y FOR ME?
After a decade of fashion in the Philippines, H&M turned Baked Studios in Makati sultry red for a star-studded soiree last October 10. Some of the coolest guys and girls in town, like Catriona Gray, Chie Filomeno, Michelle Dee, Kaila Estrada, and LA Aguinaldo, were in attendance and served head-turning ‘fits in the latest A/W pieces. The collection’s bold tailoring, standout outerwear, and effortlessly chic separates were on full display, proving that this season’s collection is all about making a statement while staying true to H&M’s mission of liberating fashion for the many.
“We’re not just celebrating 10 years—we’re celebrating the power of fashion to bring people together, break down barriers, and create something extraordinary,” said Aneta Pokucinska, Managing Director for Region East Asia for H&M. “Our mission has always been to liberate fashion for the many, and tonight in Manila, we’re showing just how much H&M is part of the fabric of this vibrant community.”
From the arrivals to the afterparty, Manila’s style stars embraced the spirit of H&M, showcasing how the brand continues to evolve. The red-themed party, designed to engage all the senses, kicked off with a curated dinner featuring an elevated selection of Filipino dishes. Friends reunited and memories were made as attendees mingled amongst themselves. Every corner of the studio had something going on, and it was everything.
As for the night’s entertainment? H&M cooked with a special performance by Jason Dhakal as his R&B tunes delivered the vibes in the private space. And what’s a celebration without fire beats, right? The night ended with an electric afterparty where a set by DJ Crwn kept the energy high. It served as an appropriate capstone to an evening of serves and celebrations.
