Announced in 2019, Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano were anointed as a new love team by the powers that may be in the industry, whose appeal and significance as a dynamic duo set to be put to the test in the iWant series, He’s Into Her.
Based on the popular WattPad novel of the same name by Maxine Lat Calibuso, the highly anticipated release is by all accounts a very promising one. “Sobra kaming excited kasi napanood ko na ‘yung edited, kilig na kilig ako,” divulges ABS-CBN Films Managing Director, Olivia Lamasan. While the exact date has yet to be revealed, things are looking up for its stars, Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, or as their shippers have already gone on to christen them, DonBelle. “I am really thankful for that kasi kahit ang tagal naming hindi nag-shoot ay todo support pa rin sila sa amin,” the actress of Goin’ Bulilit and Four Sisters Before The Wedding fame said in an interview for Magandang Buhay.
Proving to be the next great love team to watch out for, Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano already have follow-up projects lined up for them after He’s Into Her. During his contract signing with ABS-CBN, it was disclosed that the young actors would start working on a short film to be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina. A collaboration between the Hong Kong Tourism Board, this cinematic cut will eventually be developed into a full-length film.
