On August 23, 2021, Taylor Swift took to Twitter to announce that the vinyl edition of Red (Taylor’s Version) was available for pre-sale. And she just so happened to announce that she was finally on TikTok. Taylor’s entry into the video-sharing app became a trending topic and she gained over a million followers in hours. To date, Taylor has over 5.1 million followers on TikTok where she usually posts about her life and her cats.

Taylor Swift’s Wildest Dreams is an undeniable bop from her 1989 album. So, we weren’t all that surprised to see it go viral on TikTok after all these years. Given how Taylor is very in tune with her fanbase, we were hoping that Taylor herself would participate in the trend. But she decided to choose violence and instead dropped Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version) on us out of the blue. She once again shook her fans because of the fact that Red TV is dropping this November, but Wildest Dreams comes from 1989. In any case, if Taylor dropped her version of Wildest Dreams because it was trending, then fingers crossed that All Too Well goes viral as well so she can drop the full 10-minute version.
While we are on the topic of Taylor releasing her version of her songs, it may seem tempting to compare the old version with the new one, but remember, this isn’t a competition to determine who is the best. Yes, Taylor is doing all of this so that her work will be her own and not Sc*oter Br*aun’s. But let’s not be too quick to disparage her old work, because her old music remains excellent. Just have fun and enjoy the music.

Taylor Swift dropping Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version) was one of the higher-profile surprise song releases. But the superstar has a history of dropping other songs without much fanfare. To name a few, she dropped This Love (Taylor’s Version) as part of the OST to The Summer I Turned Pretty and in turn supercharged rumors that 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is the next re-release coming. She dropped Mr. Perfectly Fine out of the blue just a few days before Fearless (Taylor’s Version) was set to drop. She also released the original version of Lakes on the one-year anniversary of folklore. And she even surprise dropped The willow (90’s trend remix) as a thank you to her fans.

While Taylor is known for surprising her fans every now and then, she never went as far as releasing an entire album by surprise. But that changed when she took to social media on July 23, 2020, to announce that she was dropping her 8th studio album, folklore, later that day at midnight. The announcement shook social media and caught everyone off-guard by the fact that Taylor was releasing a whole album in 24 hours. Her surprise announcement during this era would continue when she announced the film folklore: the long pond studio sessions and that it was dropping on Disney Plus the same day at midnight.

It goes without saying that 2020 was a challenging year, bar none. But Taylor Swift made sure that the Swifties were fed, full, and stuffed. She once again surprised everyone by announcing that her 9th studio album, evermore, would be released later that day at midnight. WHEN SHE DID A SURPRISE PERFORMANCE FOR A FAN’S ENGAGEMENT PARTY
Taylor Swift loves her fans to the point that she would go out of her way to surprise fans and perform at their weddings and engagement parties. In one notable example, she surprised an engagement party by showing up and performing King Of My Heart on her guitar. She also surprised a fan by attending the wedding and performed Blank Space while the bride and groom were dancing. She even crashed a fan’s bridal shower to give her gifts.

If this list hasn’t made it clear already, Taylor Swift has a very close bond with her fans. She loves them as much as they love her. Because of how loyal and supportive they have been to her, Taylor has on numerous occasions through the years surprised her fans and biggest supporters with thoughtful and much-appreciated gifts.
There, of course, was the iconic Swiftmas in 2014. In 2015, she helped buy a home for a fan who struggled with homelessness. She donated money to fans who were struggling during the pandemic. And she also sent a huge package and a hand-written letter to a nurse who said in a local interview that she liked listening to her music to relax. A truly generous queen.
