With a passion that’s been fueling his career, Pablo (aka John Paulo Nase), the leader of SB19, believes that the Filipino sound will make it to the global stage even more. 1. HE’S THE BIG WINNER OF DJOOKY MUSIC AWARDS SPRING 2021

The leader of SB19’s hard work finally paid off when he won the grand prize at the Djooky Music Awards 2021. One of the biggest music contests in the world, the winner was determined by online voting and six panelists all over the globe. Pablo won first prize and will be receiving over P950,000 and an all-expenses-paid trip to LA to record at Capitol Studios. Competing with countries like Argentina, Russia and USA, Pablo’s self-produced song, Determinado, won big.
2. HE’S BEEN WRITING AND PRODUCING MOST OF SB19’S CURRENT SONGS
For the longest time, SB19’s been working with music producers who’ve been creating songs for them, citing that they have had their say, but only a fraction thereof. However, since their comeback, Pablo’s made it clear that they want to be in charge of their music and their visuals. He’s been writing and producing SB19’s songs for the most part since then. At some point, the boys even had to record in his condo with only a blanket for their improvised sound-proof recording booth.
3. HE EMPOWERS AND MOTIVATES HIS FELLOW ARTISTS
It takes guts to establish yourself in your field, but motivating your fellow artists is even a bigger feat. As much as we hate to admit it, crab mentality still exists. Pablo knows better and since day one, he’s been an inspiration not just to his members at SB19, but to OPM artists, too. And yes, he’s very vocal about this responsibility to motivate and empower in all his interviews.

4. HE ALSO RECORDS, PRODUCES, MIXES AND MASTERS HIS OWN SONGS
A self-made artist, Pablo of course has been working on his own songs, too. At SB19’s Back in the Zone concert a few weeks ago, he performed his own song and is set to release his own album soon enough.

Pablo doesn’t shy away from the fact that he’s started from the bottom, just like most artists. So, he thanks each person that was a part of the process every chance he can get. Yes, the rumors are true. All SB19 members are the easiest to work with!
