Dear marupok self, it was nice knowing ya.

The old Maris Racal can’t come to the phone right now, because her marupok self is dead.

Actress, TikTok queen, and singer Maris Racal just dropped her first single of the year, Ate Sandali, and it sounds like it’s going to be the newest anthem for all the marupoks out there. A song that Maris wrote during a time when she was heartbroken, Ate Sandali is a pop song packed with punchy lines like, “Para sa mga babaeng pabalik balik sa mga lalaking mali, itigil ang telenobelang pilit.” Along with the funky production co-created with Rico Blanco, Maris Racal shows the different sides of the Filipina in all the music video. “Sa music video, nagdecide ako na gusto ko ng colorful kasi literally yung last music video ko, Not For Me, was black and white so gusto ko maiba, gusto ko yung colorful. I wanna wear modern Filipiniana, malabas na P-Pop to.” says the young singer and actress. Read on below for the best moments in Ate Sandali that made us gag.
