An 11 million peso prize pool? Performances by Sarah Geronimo and SB19? A collab stage between FELIP and Ylona Garcia? Consider us seated.
While we’re just approaching the second weekend of January, the year already has something exciting in store for us in the world of gaming and music. Some of OPM’s biggest and hottest artists are coming together with the best of the gaming space from the Philippines and beyond for the Grand Finals of the Asia Pacific Predator League. Needless to say, the second week of January is about to be lit.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The Mall of Asia Arena will play host to the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals. The two-day event set to take place on January 13-14 will see a total of 26 teams battle it out across two games. 10 teams will participate in DOTA 2 while 16 will compete in VALORANT, with both esports games sporting a cool $100,000 prize pool, making the total pool $200,000, or around 11.2 million pesos. Who says there isn’t money in gaming?
Some of the best teams and esports players across Asia are coming under one roof, which is exciting enough. But the festivities at the Grand Finals get even better with the stacked lineup of performers. Each day will have its lineup of artists, with Day 1 featuring Sarah Geronimo, SB19, Al James, and more. In an exciting announcement, FELIP and Ylona Garcia are set to take the stage for the first time together for a special collaboration. The hype continues on Day 2 with performances by PABLO, JOSH CULLEN, Sponge Cola, KZ Tandingan, Sandwich, and more.
Aside from the stages and matches, attendees at the MOA Arena can also expect other goodies like interactive booths, meet-and-greet opportunities, activities, special appearances, and, of course, merch. A highlight to keep an eye out for is the VALORANT showmatch between SB19, Burg, and the Team Payaman boys. You can still get your tickets via SM Tickets. But for those who will be #TeamBahay, you can stream the games via Predator Gaming PH’s official broadcast channels.
