Another year, another batch of new names making noise on social media with the hopes of becoming the next big thing. And one young actor who is getting our attention is Rabin Angeles. You may know the Gen Z actor for his second lead role as the Filo-Japanese Yuri Hanamitchi in Ang Mutya Ng Section E, or his bright red hair (which he dyed for the role). While it’s still early days for the series, it’s already looking to be a breakout role for the 20-year-old actor. And honestly, this rising it-boy has the potential to be a Gen Z mainstay. Can we talk about how good Rabin looks with his red hair? It just makes him pop. But what’s more impressive is how he dyed his hair bright red for the role (something he initially didn’t want to do), not to mention the physical training he put in for the project. There are also his previous roles such as Justin in The Day I Loved You and Winston in Instant Daddy which saw the actor transform into the characters. If that’s any indication, Rabin puts in the work and commitment when it comes to his roles.

From the BL series The Day I Loved You, the action-fantasy movie Penduko, and the teen rom-com Ang Mutya Ng Section E, Rabin’s body of work just gets bigger and bigger and is building up to be an eclectic one.

Guys who aren’t afraid to play around with their ‘fits >>>>. Rabin’s style is a mix of boy-next-door charm with it-boy energy for a decidedly cool aura. It also helps when you have an attention-grabbing face card that reminds you of Hwang In Yeop and Park Jihoon. And the way he’s rocking his red hair, yeah, he knows how to pull off a look. The visuals are visualing.
