The last two months of the year are often known to be a hectic time as the holiday season swings into full gear. But for K-pop fans, the season is also known for the rush of the end-of-the-year award shows, final comebacks of the year, and flurry of fan voting. Needless to say, it’s not a boring time for K-pop stans. And as if things couldn’t get any more exciting, Filo K-pop fans can also look forward to D’Festa BGC. For its 10th year, Dispatch, the online Korean media outlet many K-pop fans are familiar with, aims to celebrate with the K-pop community around the world, and that includes in the Philippines.
Following stops in Tokyo, Seoul, Jakarta, and Los Angeles, D’Festa is finally making its way to the Philippines this year as it ends its world tour with a bang. No need to go abroad this holiday for that K-pop concert experience when we have it at home. Here’s what you need to know about D’Festa BGC.
WHAT IS D’FESTA AND WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT
D’Festa is a familiar name to K-pop stans. But in case you need a refresher, D’Festa is an immersive exhibit that features never-before-seen performances, photographs, and videos from a who’s who of your faves such as BTS, TWICE, SEVENTEEN, NCT 127, NCT Dream, ENHYPEN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, and Stray Kids. The event will have three main parts for fans to enjoy: The Exhibition, The Movie, and The Experience, all three of which Filipino fans can experience when D’Festa lands in the Philippines this December.
First, The Exhibition is composed of three sections. The first section will have colorful portraits with handwritten messages from the idols. The second section will feature portraits of the artists in black and white. The last section showcases group and individual photos. All photos that will be displayed are Dispatch-exclusive, so you won’t be able to see them outside D’Festa.
The next part, The Movie, is where exclusive footage of never-before-seen performances from the featured K-pop groups will be shown. These videos are extra special as they were created using cutting-edge XR filming technology. The third and last part is The Experience, an immersive 3D LED stage filmed by K-pop stars. A designated mirror wall is available on one side for visitors to take their pictures. And as a nice bonus, there is also a photo booth where you can pose with your biases.
EXCLUSIVE MERCH ON OFFER
If that wasn’t enough, fans and attendees will also be able to cop limited-edition exclusive merch to bring home keepsakes and add to their collection. Think photo books, photo cards, enamel pins, and so much more available at the exhibit. And yes, cup sleeves and snacks are also sold at The Café only in D’Festa.
