HE FOCUSED ON HIS STUDIES BEFORE ENTERING SHOWBIZ

It’s expected that celebrity children would follow in their parents’ footsteps. But Andres wasn’t quick to jump on the fame train as he prioritized his studies. In 2020, he left the Philippines to study abroad, specifically in Spain to pursue a Business and Communications course. Only after he got his degree and completed his living-alone college era did he make the jump to acting.

Andres is very close with his family. He proudly showcases his love for his parents on social media, and he even accepted his father’s The Entertainment Editors’ Choice (EDDYS) award on his behalf. As for his twin sister Atasha, it’s giving supportive kuya energy. Among the moments we love between the twins was when Andres was Atasha’s escort during the 2022 Le Bal des Débutantes, a prestigious and exclusive event that celebrates a handful of debutantes in Paris every year. And in case you’re wondering, Atasha is the older sibling by two minutes.

With a face card like that, it’s no wonder Andres is a familiar face in ads and commercials. You may remember the Muhlach family Jollibee commercials that featured Atasha and Andres as kids. As a young adult, Andres has graced billboards as a Bench ambassador and also walked the Bench Fashion Week runway a couple of times.
HE’S BEEN MAKING NOISE WITH HIS EARLY ACTING PROJECTS

In January 2024, Andres joined the rest of his family as he leaped to showbiz after signing a contract with Viva. He made his acting debut soon after in the TV 5 sitcom Da Pers Family, which also starred his parents and twin sister. But his next project is arguably his biggest yet. You may have come across the viral announcement trailer that Andres will be playing class president Mark Keifer Watson in Viva One’s digital series adaptation of the popular Wattpad series Ang Mutya ng Section E by Lara Flores.
He already has a love team partner as he’ll be paired up with rising actress Ashtine Olviga, who plays new student Jay-Jay Mariano, the titular mutya of Section E. Considering that Wattpad adaptions have been the vehicle for many of our faves to reach greater heights and that this is Andres’ first leading role, the project has our attention.

If he isn’t on set, you can probably catch Andres on the court shooting hoops as he’s a fan of and likes to play basketball. He was even part of the Brent International School basketball team when he used to study there. The basketball player-in-school-to-rising-actor pipeline is real.
