If you thought that there were enough streaming services already available in the Philippines, prepare to add one more to the list, and it’s a big one. Years after its initial launch, Max, Warner Bros.’ streaming service, is finally making its way to Southeast Asia. Specifically, the streaming service will launch on November 19 across seven territories, including the Philippines. While we, and Southeast Asia in general, have had HBO Go for years, consider Max an upgrade as we finally have a legal way to stream the platform’s many blockbuster movies, groundbreaking series, iconic hits, engaging real-life content, and family favorites.

Max isn’t just another streaming site, it’s a major player that’s home to beloved brands like HBO, Harry Potter, the DC Universe, Cartoon Network, Max Originals, and more. So, if you’re curious to know what it has in store and if you’re going to add it to your list of streaming service subscriptions, here’s what we’re excited to watch first on Max.

MAX EXCLUSIVES

THE LAST OF US S2 MAX

As the exclusive streaming home for HBO Originals, Max will feature a slate of exclusive stories, some of which don’t come to HBO Go. For example, you’ll be able to stream the new series Dune: Prophecy just in time for its premiere in November. Other exclusives you can catch include the Game of Thrones prequel, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, IT prequel series, IT: Welcome to Derry, the upcoming Harry Potter reboot series, and new seasons of House of the Dragon, The White Lotus, and The Last of Us. And as a cherry on top, subscribers also have access to award-winning hits like Game of Thrones and Succession

THE DC UNIVERSE

CREATURE COMMANDOS MAX

DC is about to go big with the imminent launch of the new DC Universe under James Gunn and Peter Safran. And it’s on Max you have to be on if you want to catch the ride. Aside from the fact that Max is where the movies under the new DC Universe will go when they make their streaming debut, the streaming service will also be home to a few DC exclusives, such as the Max Original adult animation Creature Commandos, the first series out of this new era. Oh, and if you’re the nostalgic type, you can also stream the old DC movies and spin-offs on Max.

HOLLYWOOD CLASSICS

FRIENDS MAX

As the home streaming service of Warner Bros., Max has a treasure trove of movies and shows that would make any fan giddy. On the silver screen front, you can stream the full Harry Potter, The Conjuring Universe, The Matrix, and The Lord of the Rings collections, just to name a few, as well as recent blockbusters like Dune: Part Two, Barbie, Wonka, Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, and the upcoming premiere of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. On the TV side of things, the binging hours are about to be set with beloved collections of Friends and Sex and the City available to stream, among other IPs.

UNSCRIPTED PROGRAMMING

SELENA + CHEF MAX

Who doesn’t love a little reality TV? On Max, real-life stories from Warner Bros. Discovery’s unscripted programming from Discovery, TLC, AFN, Food Network, ID *, and HGTV will be available in one streaming destination. Honeslty, you had us at Food Network.

THE CARTOON NETWORK ARCHIVES
