What makes an “it boy“? It varies from person to person, but generally, looking good isn’t the only criteria. So, without further ado, we are introducing the next rising it-boy in the game, Kyler of Filipino global group HORI7ON. He’s pretty new to this, but trust, like his group, he’s well on the road to making it big—with the right amount of dedication, commitment, and opportunities. WHEN HE STARRED IN A MUSIC VIDEO
Kyler’s in his actor era! The idol made his acting debut in Lee Seung Chul’s music video for his single It’s Rainy Day, playing half of a sweet young couple alongside Miracle in Cell No. 7 actress Kal So-won. He portrayed lovesick teen so well that if you didn’t swoon, you weren’t watching. This was also a nice intro to the idol’s acting chops and charm. Drama companies, take note.
WHEN HE WORE THIS FOR HIS NYLON MANILA COVER SHOOT
The stylists and designers cooked with this one. Confident enough to flaunt what he’s got, Kyler made waves with this midriff-baring purple suit at our NYLON Manila October 2023 cover shoot. Besides that, he ate up all his other outfits, too. Stylists could put him in boyish yellow coveralls or patterned suits and he would look good in every single fit. If that’s not it-boy material, we don’t know what is.

The face card is accepted as a form of currency in any country, and this Gen Z idol is proof. The many Instiz and even Dispatch posts and reports about his visuals prove the young artist is making headlines not just in the Philippines, but also South Korea—and so early on into his career. If you’re a K-pop stan, you’re very familiar with this list of Most Handsome Faces. A pretty subjective ranking with pretty arbitrary metrics, but you can’t really deny how deserving those faces on the upper bracket are sometimes. This year, Kyler, a rookie no less, made it to the Top 30, placing at 27, a new entry to the ranks. Here’s hoping he joins many other idols consistently ranking!

It’s a crime this video was only dropped on an Instagram Story. The viral Don’t Go Insane dance trend set to the song of the same name by DPR IAN makes it difficult to follow what it wants you to do. Kyler’s entry to the trend, re-uploaded by an ANCHOR to TikTok, has reached a whopping one million views. Several of his dance covers on the HORI7ON TikTok are on among the most popular of the entire account. Millions of eyes are on him, for real.
