Here is a running list of emergency hotlines that you can contact and donation drives you can support for the relief efforts for the victims of Typhoon Odette.
Yet another destructive typhoon has hit the country, this time wreaking havoc in Visayas and Mindanao. On December 16, Typhoon Odette (with the international name Rai), made landfall in the country and proceeded to to bring heavy rains, strong wind, and massive flooding throughout central Philippines. Places like Cebu, Surigao, Iloilo, Bohol, and Cagayan de Oro, saw extensive damage to its infrastructure as well as flooding. As of this writing, Typhoon Odette is set to exit the country. Having a typhoon this strong hit the country and so close to Christmas should not be normal, but sadly that is how things have been going. With relief and rescue operations currently underway, here is a list of emergency hotlines that you can contact if you know someone who needs help. Here are also donation drives that you can donate money and other goods to help displaced families.
