May 1, 2023, is the first Monday of May. To some, that might seem like an insignificant fact, but to those who follow the worlds of fashion and pop culture, it’s one of the most anticipated days of the year as it is the Met Gala. Every first Monday of May, stars from all over the world come together for a charity gala for The Met Museum in New York City in what many consider to be the Super Bowl of fashion. Social media lights up with commentary on whether the celebs who attended dressed for the theme, as was the case this year.
For 2023, The Met went with the theme of “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line Of Beauty” as stars dressed based on their interpretation of the late designer’s decades-long history in the fashion world.
