As important and necessary as it is, studying can becoming boring. On regular days, studying can feel like a tedious task. But add a global pandemic and a prolonged quarantine, then it can truly feel like a complete slog. As students study at home and go to school online, studying now becomes an isolated event, which for some people is not a welcome idea. For others, the online set-up has the tendency to build the feeling of burnout and being unmotivated.
Because of this, study with me vlogs have grown in popularity in the past year as a way for students to feel inspired to study. Some YouTubers have made a name for themselves with their study with me content. It’s also a common sight to see fan-made edited videos of K-Pop idols that look like they are hitting the books as well so it can feel like you are studying along with them. After all, who wouldn’t want to study with their favorite K-Pop idol?
STUDY WITH BTS
But just in time for back-to-school season, BTS has shown once again that they are always there for their fans, which is why they uploaded their very own study with me video. Nope, this isn’t a joke. BTS actually live-streamed a video on BANGTANTV called Study With BTS, which sees every single member study one by one. The 21-minute video features RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook all taking their turns doing their thing, from typing on a laptop to writing on a notebook.
And don’t worry, the full video is still up on their channel so that you can watch it anytime you want. Given how BTS has always preached the message of love, kindness, and support, it’s actually natural for them to do this as a way to help student ARMYs. So, the next time you feel unmotivated or lonely to study, put on the video and let these friendly faces accompany you on your study session.
OTHER K-POP IDOLS YOU CAN STUDY WITH
But BTS isn’t the only K-Pop idol to have posted a study with me video. Other idols have gotten on it as well to show that even idols have to study, too. Former MONSTA X member and soloist Wonho posted a 55-minute Study With Me video on his YouTube channel. Baek Jiheon of K-Pop girl group fromis_9 posted a 5 hour and 37 minute Study With Me video on the group’s official YouTube channel. (Yes, it’s that long.) B.I posted an hour and 20-minute study with me video as well.
If you’re looking for a young would-be trainee, then head on over to Trainee A’s YouTube page. If you don’t know, Trainee A is the name of a group of trainees under HYBE. They are rumored to be HYBE’s newest boy group that is set to debut in 2022. One of the trainees, Sangwon, posted a 13-minute Study With Me video. Considering that he’s still in school, this one might be more relatable.
