On the morning of February 13, Philippine time, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles to take home the championship win at the Super Bowl LVII, their first in four years. But enough of that, let’s talk about the real star of the game: Rihanna’s highly-anticipated Halftime Show performance.
Considering how it’s been years since the queen of the Fenty empire hit the stage for a performance, fans all over the world waited with bated breath to see what Rihanna would cook up for her biggest performance of her career to date. And the moment she began her 15-minute set with Bitch Better Have My Money, rubbing her belly to confirm her second pregnancy in the process, we knew Rihanna was going to serve.
Overall, the performance was relatively low-key compared to past Halftime Shows, but that doesn’t mean Riri didn’t delivered. From her all-red ‘fit, the moving platforms reminiscent of a Super Smash Bros. stage, the assemblage of dancers in white, and closing the show with Diamonds, it was a moment at the State Farm field in Glendale, Arizona.
