PBB Gen 11’s Kolette Madelo is shaping up to be one to watch, and her strong and caring personality is only one of several reasons why.

In general, Pinoy Big Brother does a pretty good job of showing people’s character (though often doing so in a sensationalist and dramatic manner—but that’s reality TV for you!), and those who make it out of Kuya’s House will find success only insofar as their talent and character allow. Such is the case as well for PBB Gen 11, where one Nyckolette “Kolette” Madelo earned a loyal following by being a caring, determined individual with a strong personality and proving that she has what it takes to make it.
Entering as the “Ma-cute-lit na Raketera ng General Santos,” Kolette eventually became the 3rd Big Placer of PBB Gen 11, and is currently pursuing a path towards stardom, performing, singing, and shining along the way. With a loyal fanbase behind her, and an admirable strength of character, Kolette’s journey towards reaching her dreams has just begun, and it seems as though keeping an eye on her will be worth it. Overcoming challenges, building relationships, and showing you deserve to make it through the PBB house takes only a strong, determined spirit, and Kolette has proven she’s got it. She entered the PBB house as someone who did plenty at a young age in order to support her family, becoming a working student and starting many “rakets” to do so. Her determination and diligence allowed her to make it to where she is today. And with a little luck, some good decisions, and plenty of support, she could very well go far in any career direction she chooses to go in.

The Raketera’s got moves! Kolette, who dreams of being a performer, wasted no time in the House—nor outside of it—showing off and developing her skills, whether humorously or seriously, and even went viral with housemate Jarren for starting a dance trend!

Kolette has also shown off her vocals at several events, serenading her fans and taking steps towards achieving the dreams she now knows she can reach.
SELF-AWARE QUEEN
From being a criticized housemate to showing growth during and even after the show, recognizing what she needs to improve on and apologizing for the wrong things she’s done out of anger, Kolette is a self-aware queen. She’s open to learning and growing and to lowering her pride when she knows she’s in the wrong. That’s a real show of character, and Kolette has won plenty of people over just for being genuine and humble.
SHE’S GOT A BIG HEART
From doing everything for her family to having tough but necessary conversations with her partner, being grateful for her supporters to having faith in the friends she made inside the House, Kolette showed how caring she was towards other people. She became an ate to the rest of the final four, cooking for the three and trusting their character despite even the tricks played by Madam AI as challenges near the end of the show. She also once mentioned how, once she was able to go back to her hometown of General Santos City, she wanted to give food to the kids in her community.

This big heart of hers became an inspiration for many, and her fanbase embarked on a mission to fulfill Kolette’s goal, starting the Love Like Koko fan project and handing out food to the kids in GenSan.
SHE KNOWS HOW TO STAND HER GROUND
With her spot in the Big Four under threat with the returning House Challengers serving up some chaos and drama, Kolette made it known that she wasn’t going down without a fight. Of course, it was all cooked up for exciting TV, such is the nature of shows like these, but there’s no doubt that she was ready to stand up for herself and the rest of the remaining housemates. She’s worked too hard to get to where she is!
It’s a showcase of how far she’s come in terms of her confidence and strength since she first entered the house. Kolette secured her spot in the Big Four and went on to become the 3rd placer of PBB Gen 11. Now she’s kickstarting a career as an artist and performer, and we’re excited to see where she goes next.
