Definitely an "I made it moment" for Liv. 💜

Olivia Rodrigo, aka our Filipina princess, made her highly anticipated trip to the Philippines, which was one for the books.

We thought we’d never see the day, but it finally came. After years of anxious waiting, Olivia Rodrigo finally had her much-hyped first concert in the Philippines last October 5 at the Philippine Arena in what was the biggest show of her career yet. Tens of thousands of Filipino Livies flocked to Bulacan to see the Filipino-American Gen Z superstar spill her guts (figuratively, of course). It was a long journey to get here, but it was worth it. And considering that this was Olivia’s first time in the Philippines, she made the most of her few days in the country.

What made everything better was how the proceeds from the concert went to Olivia’s Fund 4 Good initiative, which was donated to Jhpiego Philippines, a nonprofit organization providing healthcare to women and girls around the country. How can you not say mother? The PCD (post-concert distress) is real, but we’ll always have the memories. Let’s take a look at some of the memorable moments from the Olivia Rodrigo weekend.

LOUIS PARTRIDGE BEING BEST BOY(FRIEND)

@itsangelbarrientos THE KINDEST SOUL, I WAS STARSTRUCKED 🥹 #oliviarodrigo #louispartridge #gutsworldtour #gutstour #gutstourmanila ♬ original sound – itsangelbarrientos

Imagine going on a sold-out world tour with your equally famous boyfriend who supports you every step of the way. Olivia stays winning. It was a nice surprise seeing Louis Partridge join Olivia in the Philippines as fans spotted him showing love to what her superstar gf does best, chatting with her father (a green flag in any Filipino family), and just generally being a lokwey but supportive boyfriend. And the fact that it was in Manila, a place that means so much to Olivia, that Louis hard launched her on his IG feed made it more special. God, we see what you do to others.

MISS SO FILIPINO

Olivia’s OOTDs during her concert gave Pinoy Pride energy, and we’re here for it. From the “Miss So Filipina” sash a fan gave to her (the origins of which you can see here) to the “Pinoy Pride” tee she sported during the encore, Olivia didn’t hesitate to wear her Pinoy roots on her sleeve, as she should.

OLIVIA MAKING ZIA DANTES’ NIGHT

You just saw a core memory be made right before your eyes. Zia beaming with joy as Olivia waved to her is too pure for words.

THE SCREAM IN ALL-AMERICAN BITCH

Oh, to be in an arena filled with 50,000 Filipinos screaming their lungs out with Olivia Rodrigo. Those screams came from a deep place and we know they felt good afterwards.

SHARLENE SAN PEDRO, RELATABLE STAR

Just like you, Sharlene San Pedro had to make due with her seat location and the lack of LED screens.

PROUD PINOY ENERGY

While some would say that Olivia doesn’t recognize her Filipino heritage, her time in the Philippines proved otherwise. The way she was visibly emotional as she looked out to the crowd and talked about her Filipino roots showed how special the moment was to her. And Olivia changing the lyrics in so american to saying that she’s so filipino? Okay pinsan, we see you. Being in the Philippines meant a lot to Olivia, and it showed.

DAD AND DAUGHTER MOMENTS

Proud father is an understatement when it comes to Olivia’s dad. Not only was Tito Chris so nice to the fans but he was also spotted filming his daughter like any ecstatic girl dad would.

FILIPINO + DRIVERS LICENSE = MAGIC

@ciasamson olivia got a little emotional after being serenaded by 55,000 Filipinos. we never really disappoint! we love you, liv! #gutsworldtour #gutsworldtouroliviarodrigo #bulacan #manila #philippinearena #fyp #concert @Olivia Rodrigo ♬ original sound – Cia (Taylor’s Version) – Cia (MD, 2028 🩺)

Olivia has many hits worth screaming the lyrics to and getting in your feels. But there’s just something so special about seeing and hearing tens of thousands of Filipinos belt the final chorus of drivers license. Filipino crowds never disappoint.

PRE-CONCERT ADVENTURES

Olivia may have only had a few days in the country, but she didn’t waste her time getting in as much of the culture and history as possible. She activated her tourist mode and casually roamed around Manila. Among other things, she had dinner at Romulo Cafe (and had her fill of halo-halo), explored Intramuros with Louis and her dad, biked around the historic city, and had a dinner date in Makati. And all the while, she was still game to say hi to fans and snap quick selfies.
