If Jane de Leon playing the role of Darna may have raised eyebrows for some, Janella Salvador as Valentina is something we didn’t see coming. And boy are we in for a ride.

She’s one hell of an actress, taking every role she lands seriously. But for her role as the Darna villainess? Janella is pushing her limits.
SHE KEPT SNAKES AS A PET
To prepare herself for the role, Janella had to be comfortable with snakes. In fact, she adopted two and named them Valentino and Versace.

From her usual bouncy hair and fresh makeup, Janella changed it up into super model waves with blonde highlights and graphic liner—mostly punctuated by a red lip. She’s also been in more skin-tight outfits, usually accessorized with her snakes, Valentino and Versace.

Despite having big shoes to fill, it was easy for Janella to live and love her role. Don’t you enjoy how the current show’s been more realistic in terms of character development?
BEING A NEW MOM DIDN’T HINDER HER FROM GETTING BACK TO WORK
It must’ve been challenging for Janella to balance her mom duties and work, but she didn’t back down. She quickly got in shape a few months after giving birth and carried on.
