K-pop boy group CRAVITY is keeping their true selves and everything they’ve learned so far close to heart as they start on another new journey.

Almost five years into their career, K-pop boy group CRAVITY is unafraid to stay true to themselves while still opening themselves up to worlds of opportunities. Still those cheery, expressive, powerful, fourth-gen “monster rookies” at heart, Serim, Allen, Jungmo, Woobin, Wonjin, Minhee, Hyeongjun, Taeyoung, and Seongmin are proving they only grow with time.
Known for their youthful, head-bopping music (PARTY ROCK, Love or Die) and energetic vibe, the nine-member boy group embarks on a different kind of journey with their newest comeback FIND THE ORBIT, with a title track fitting for this stage in their careers, Now Or Never. Exhibiting a sense of maturity that does well to show off their versatility, the single album is something new for the group, but it still carries that distinct CRAVITY energy that made their fans fall in love with them in the first place.
This is the boy group’s first comeback after participating in reality competition survival show Road To Kingdom: Ace of Ace, where they emerged as the Ace of Ace, beating out other boy groups vying for the win.
K-pop stans have plenty of opinions about putting idols who have already debuted on survival shows (and on survival shows overall), but one thing’s for sure—when those idols are there, they’re going to put their best foot forward no matter what. It becomes a chance to show the world what these groups are capable of, and it also becomes hell of a learning opportunity, if CRAVITY’s experience has anything to say about it.
Reinvigorated and rearing to put what they’ve learned into practice, the nine-piece group immediately went to work, just as excited to come back as they were to debut—and now, even more excited to take chances and take leaps towards their dreams.
Coming back as winners with their new single album FIND THE ORBIT and title track Now or Never as well as songs Horizon and Secret, CRAVITY sits down with NYLON Manila to talk about their new era and finding their orbit. Read the full interview below.
Congratulations on the new comeback! How do you feel about coming back as a group that just won Road to Kingdom: Ace of Ace?
ALLEN: We feel like winners! And we’re so so excited to return with new music right after that to show all the K-pop fans out there who the true aces are.
How do you think CRAVITY in this new comeback is different from the CRAVITY last comeback?
JUNGMO: I think the members have become more handsome and charismatic.
WOOBIN: We’ve matured both externally and internally. And, of course, we’re a year older now.
WONJIN: Through the unique experience of participating in Road to Kingdom: Ace of Ace, we’ve grown a lot. We hope you’ll look forward to seeing the variety of fresh and new sides of us this time.
You wrote Horizon in reference to your time on the show. What’s something you learned during Road to Kingdom: Ace of Ace that you will take with you as you embark on yet another new journey?
WOOBIN: This song expresses the emotions we felt while participating in Road to Kingdom. Through Horizon, we convey CRAVITY’s journey so far and our determination to shine even brighter as we embark on a new path.
What does someone need to bring with them when they’re on the hunt to “find a new orbit”?
JUNGMO: LUVITY!
SEONGMIN: Confidence!
What about the concept and meaning of your new single album FIND THE ORBIT resonates most with you, especially now that you just went through a new and challenging experience?
ALLEN: I think coming off of Road To Kingdom, throughout the program one of our goals was to find our own color and solidify our sound and concept. Finding our orbit as CRAVITY is really meaningful, because I feel like throughout the show, we improved so much and we got to experiment with concepts and different things that would suit our taste and style, sound, and color. So I feel like this whole album really embodies what we’ve been working up to at this point.
What are you most excited for for this new comeback?
ALLEN: To see our fans! It gets especially cold out here in the winter, and it really helps when we connect with our fans—it brings us that warmth and all the love throughout the holiday season. We can’t wait to see our fans again.
Words like “lovely”, “unpredictable”, and “energetic” appeared before each member on your THIS IS MY ASTEROID video. Similarly, in one word, how would you describe your title track Now Or Never?
SERIM: Youth!
ALLEN: I agree! The sound is very energetic, very bright, very uplifting. The music video, you can see a lot of different elements of youth.
How do you make sure you always keep the youthful energy even as you grow up in the industry?
HYEONGJUN: LUVITY’s love is the biggest source of our energy.
JUNGMO: And having the members by my side keeps me motivated and helps me maintain the energy.
If you could put a song from your new single album into the soundtrack of a movie, what song would it be, in what movie, and why?
SEONGMIN: I’d choose Now or Never for The Maze Runner. There are so many scenes in the movie where they’re running through mazes, and I think the song would fit perfectly.
MINHEE: I’d pick Secret for Kingsman. I’d want it to play in the scene where the protagonist wears his suit for the first time.
HYEONGJUN: I’d choose Secret for The Avengers. It would fit well and also introduce our song to fans all over the world.
WOOBIN: I’d like to pair Horizon with Along with the Gods.
When the going gets tough, or you as a team undergo difficult challenges, how do you uplift and encourage each other?
SEONGMIN: We give each other a lot of feedback by watching performance and stage videos together. When someone is struggling, we offer comfort, which helps us recharge and support each other.
SERIM: We talk a lot with one another even outside of work. This constant communication makes it easier to rely on and help each other.
Is there any fun or memorable story during the preparation of your new album that you can share?
TAEYOUNG: Oh, actually we filmed the teaser in Hong Kong. It was our second time filming some of our album film overseas. It was really fun.
ALLEN: Yes, and we would love to visit the Philippines again, and maybe film something there as well! Because it’s such a beautiful country with a lot of beautiful sceneries.
What’s something you really want to do or achieve in 2025?
WONJIN: This year, in 2024, we achieved so much—holding concerts, getting a first-place win, and winning in Road to Kingdom: Ace of Ace. In 2025, we want to perform on bigger stages and achieve even greater results. I hope we can create more wonderful moments to share with LUVITY.
ALLEN: I want to go on a world tour! I can’t wait to see LUVITY from all over the world again.
SERIM: I’d love to go on a trip with the members, too! Traveling to different places together would be so much fun.
Is there anything you’d like to say to your Filipino LUVITYs and all your fans that have supported you in all your endeavors?
ALLEN: Our Filipino LUVITYs! Mahal kita! We miss you a lot, and you guys are always in our hearts. We can’t thank you enough for all the love and support you guys have been giving us. We can’t wait until we get to meet again in the Philippines. Hopefully, we get a chance. We love you.
