‘Ang Mutya Ng Section E’ has given us a whole class of new young artists and characters to stan. Who’s your fave?

Class is in session! VivaOne series Ang Mutya Ng Section E is bringing everybody back to high school, making us feel all the emotions and putting on screen some classic teen rom-com tropes. An adaptation of a Wattpad story, AMNSE tells the story of a girl, Jayjay (Ashtine Olviga), who’s thrust into the world of Section E, the section where all the messy, rowdy, makulit students of Higher Value International School are placed. Jayjay and leader of the class Keifer (Andres Muhlach) immediately butt heads, with the latter conspiring with the rest of the all-boy class to get her kicked out of the section.
The colorful, comedic, and sometimes frustrating cast of Section E also includes Yuri (Rabin Angeles and his fire engine-red hair), Keifer’s second-in-command (and competition for Jayjay’s affection); Jayjay’s closest friend in Section E Ci-N (Charles Law); the always-asleep Josh (Kyosu Guinto), and more. They all form a tight-knit band of brothers that eventually see Jayjay as one of their own (well, once the Big Reveal happens, this sentiment might be a little sus).
Rounding out the ensemble cast, the antagonists can also still be fun to watch. The students from the other sections are a welcome foil to Section E’s band of misfits. Queen Bee Freya (Sara Joe, who bears no familial relation to Cup of Joe), Jayjay’s half-brother Aries (Andre Yllana), Mica (Rafa Victorino), and more stand as even more adversaries and complicated personalities to Jayjay and Section E, as both groups cause their own kind of trouble.
Six episodes in out of 16, Ang Mutya Ng Section E presents a whole bunch of characters portrayed by industry newcomers and rising stars alike. Though each character is distinctly their own, we’d like to know—who’s your favorite so far? Is it the stubborn, palaban, tough-as-nails Jayjay? Is it the cocky, moody, crafty Keifer?
