It’s June, a month that means many things to many people. To some, it’s Pride. To others, it’s Philippine Independence Day. A few see it as graduation season and the official start of their summer. But regardless of how you want to celebrate and go about the month, there’s no denying that having a good set of tunes ready can make nearly everything better. It’s a memo that a lot of artists got as dozens of our fave local and international acts decided to drop new music right at the start of the month. It’s a happy problem if we do say so ourselves. Scroll down for some of our favorite releases that should be on your radar.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE – SABRINA CARPENTER

Sabrina puts a little yee haw into her pop in this banger on hoping that your partner does not embarrass you.

DISTANSYA – ROB DENIEL AND JANINE TENOSO

We aren’t ashamed to admit that we were kicking our feet while listening to this bop about how distance doesn’t matter in a relationship.

SAINT – DPR IAN

The beat alone is worth the playlist inclusion.

TANGA MO JUAN – JUAN KARLOS

In true juan karlos fashion, his new single is just him repeating two lines over and over, but with different emotions that emphasize how he constantly berates himself over his misfortunes with love and how he fears that others think of him as stupid because of it. His mind!

NEVER LET GO – JUNGKOOK

Jungkook is serving, both in the military and his music in this fun pop-electro love song.

SUMAYA – JOSH CULLEN

Delivering a quiet rumination on heartbreak and acceptance, the song comfortably repackages R&B, trap, pop, and bedroom hip-hop with minimalism that reveals rewarding folds and layers as it progresses. It’s a vulnerable track that expresses the ugly truths of a relationship’s aftermath but is written from a place of genuine care for the other person’s freedom and happiness.

TALK TALK – CHARLI XCX

A new Charli XCX album at the start of Pride Month? It feels correct.

AWITIN MO, ISASAYAW KO – JASON DHAKAL

At this point, Jason needs to make an album filled with R&B remakes of OPM classics because he just gets it.

CLOSE TO YOU – GRACIE ABRAMS

This beat-driven and dance-ready anthem speaks to the way obsession consumes us on a nearly cellular level.

SUMFLING – ALEX BRUCE

Alex has a track for the island girls. Radiating laid-back summer afternoons and beach vibes, the song is a warm chill ride of laid-back R&B beats and reggae-infused production.

COMING HOME – BEABADOOBEE

Just like you, beabadoobee also imagines what her life with her special someone can be like, complete with the chores they do at home.

GENESIS. – RAYE

Modern-day Bohemian Rhapsody if you think about it. This is RAYE’s magnum opus on the BS of life.

FLY HIGH – ATARASHII GAKKO! – FLY HIGH

With their debut album, the Japanese girl group explores the theme of “Calling,” drawing from the dual meaning of the Japanese word “korin [降臨],” signifying both “calling” and “to descend” or “to arrive.” It makes for an extraordinary journey of escaping a dull, ordinary world by unapologetically embracing one’s authentic self.

ATIN ANG GABI – PAUL PABLO

Paul Pablo continues to give pop star down in his new song.

ASAR TALO – ELIJAH

Bars!!! That’s it, that’s the sentence.

DANGEROUS – HILLARI

The track explores the delicate balance between life’s highs and unexpected lows, offering a reminder to stay grounded.
