Back in January, Belle Mariano was our first cover star of the year as she led our N-Pop issue, a fitting turn given her status as one of Pinoy pop culture’s hottest stars. In March, all eyes were on Sharlene San Pedro as she fronted our Sustainability issue, showcasing a career that remains strong through her many pivots and moves.
Now, as we look forward to what May has in store for us, we celebrate our Voice issue, which is all about highlighting a new generation ready to bring change. And when it came to deciding which personality to front our latest cover, we didn’t choose one, but five, as these young actors just stepped into what is poised to be a game-changer for Philippine entertainment. So, get ready for Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Radson Flores, Matt Lozano, and Raphael Landicho as they are our next cover stars.
THEIR LEGACY
Over three years in the making, Voltes V: Legacy could be described as a once-in-a-generation show. The adaptation carries significant cultural history behind it. And instead of falling into the traps that have plagued quite a few local productions, the team behind Legacy stepped up their game to what is the most ambitious project GMA has ever done. Leading the way are the five young stars of the show, Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Radson Flores, Matt Lozano, and Raphael Landicho.
As the core five team of Steve, Jamie, Mark, Big Bert, and Little Jon, they are the heart and soul of the series. Voltes V: Legacy looks to be a groundbreaking project that proves Filipinos can do more, a moment the five actors are more than aware of. Not only did they put in the work for the show, but they’re championing a 100% Pinoy-made series that may just be the start of a new golden age of Philippine movies and TV.
