From down under to the Philippine streets, here come your new favorite coffee, sweets, and treats. Koala Joe Coffee, the newest Aussie-Filipino coffee brand in town, officially opened its first trailer at Clean Fuel, Pioneer Street, Mandaluyong City! Brewing good drinks and good vibes, and blending coffee, culture, and community, Koala Joe Coffee might just make it to our roster of go-to coffee spots.
Some of the first visitors to taste the snacks and beverages from Koala Joe Coffee include Resident Pastry Chef Monica Dela Cruz, businessman Boy Guevara and his wife Monette, Councilor Grace Santos, veteran news anchor Rikki Mathay, renowned sculptor Daniel Dela Cruz, as well as the Laforteza family, including KATSEYE’s Sophia. TV host Kim Atienza also led the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Made with Australian flair, Filipino spirit, and pure passion, this brand makes a statement with every sweet or beverage. Co-Founder and President, Jessica Everingham shared how Koala Joe Coffee is the fulfillment of a vision encapsulated in a statement: “My Cup Overflows.” The brand’s official tagline represents abundance, gratitude, and a purpose-driven mission to bring joy to every customer.
TASTE & VISION
Koala Joe Coffee is committed to offering “Koala”-ty coffee and snacks at affordable prices, making premium coffee accessible to more people while celebrating culture, faith, and community.
With an Aussie-inspired menu, the coffee brand offers drinks and treats that play on some new and familiar flavors. From lattes to Lamingtons, slushies to sweet drinks, their menu is a sugar rush waiting to happen—but we’re not complaining. ICYDK, a Lamington is a butter sponge cake coated in chocolate and coconut flakes that can be crafted with different flavors.
They’ve given the classic Australian Lamington a few twists, with flavors such as Ube, Matcha, and Honey Butter. They’ve also got frappés made with classic Australian sweets, such as the Bondi Biscoff Frappe and the Salted Caramel TimTam Frappe. If you’re not a coffee or cake girlie, Koala Joe also has refreshing fizzy and fruity slushies, perfect for a warm, tropical day.
Koala Joe Coffee is also more than just a coffee stop—it’s a movement with a mission. Through its “Cup with a Cause” initiative, a portion of every purchase goes to support Kids for Jesus Foundation, helping underprivileged children grow in faith and providing them opportunities to thrive. With one drink, or one snack, you can actually make an impact.
With this giving-back mindset and food and drink that were thoughtfully crafted, the brand—though only still operating as a trailer—is making some big, purposeful, flavorful steps. Many success stories have started this way, and it’s all thanks to the dedication the brand has to making excellent food and drink—each one crafted with precision, creativity, and love. “This is just the beginning,” Jessica said. “Because this little trailer is the first step to a vision to make it global.”
