Since time immemorial, pop culture has often been associated with fandoms. From personalities, movies, TV shows, movements, and more, if something is even remotely popular, then it probably has fans. And thanks to the power of social media, fandom has taken on new forms, such as stans and stan accounts. Scroll enough on social media, especially X (formerly Twitter), you’ll come across a stan account dedicated to certain faves. In essence, it’s a way for fans to let their love of a certain pop culture figure be known. It’s an admiration that can push people to set up an entire account just for it, a feeling even celebrities have gone through.

Yes, your faves have their faves, with some of them even once having their own stan account. It’s actually crazy to think that some of the stan accounts you’re mutuals might have a celebrity who’s behind them. But that’s the power of fandom, even stars aren’t immune. Scroll down for a list of famous faces who, at one point, had their own stan account.

The actress and vocal ARMY had a dedicated second account on X that was for BTS and her other K-pop faves. Drop the @ queen!

BINI’S SHEENA – ENHYPEN STAN ACCOUNT

Did you know that one of your mutuals could have been BINI’s Sheena. The P-pop idol revealed on X that she has an ENHYPEN stan account and even almost got exposed when she joined selca day. That was a scenario Lil Nas X found himself in with his Nicki Minaj fan page. For a while, it was widely rumored that the rapper was behind the Nicki stan account “nasmaraj” with evidence suggesting it was most likely him. Then, in 2020, the Barb admitted on X that he did have a Nicki stan account but did not initially admit it for fear of being outed before he made a name for himself in the rap world.

LORDE

Okay, this one’s a bit of a stretch, but we’ll still include it given how it is dedicated to her love for something, in this case, onion rings. Initially launched in 2017, it was rumored and then confirmed that Lorde launched an Instagram account called “onionringsworldwide” that was solely dedicated to reviewing onion rings the musician encountered on her adventures (a whole mood TBH). Given how Lorde’s last post was years ago, we need the onion ring enthusiast to make a comeback. We lowkey need to know her thoughts on 8Cuts’ onion rings.
