November came and went, with plenty of things worth talking about, so we compiled the ones that we loved the most. We cried, we laughed, we listened, we watched, we read…and we just loved! From concerts to phone cases, books to songs, these media and lifestyle picks of the month had us locking in and savoring the rush of endorphins they provided. If you’re looking for something new to try or enjoy, or are looking to reminisce on an experience you, too, loved recently, these picks made this month feel so much more special.
BLACKPINK’s Deadline Tour in Bulacan – GELO QUIJENCIO, MULTIMEDIA ARTIST
Party in pink perfectly describes what went down when BLACKPINK invaded our area last November 22 and 23. The arena’s energy was actually insane. As a longtime BLINK finally seeing the pinks for the first time, it was a night with pure fun, excitement, and full-body chills. From the laser show to the live vocals, the unbeatable stage presence, and the nonstop energy of BLINKs, everything felt iconic.
Hearing JUMP and Forever Young (my all-time favorite from them) live was unreal. The lasers hit, the bass shook the entire arena, and everyone jumped, screamed, and partied. The solos were another highlight. Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo each stepped out and completely devoured their stages, showing off their individual styles, personalities, and strengths. Every moment felt intentional. Every VCR transition, every outfit change, and every detail of the show felt seamless. Every scream from the crowd felt like proof that BLACKPINK remains that group. It’s rare for a concert to feel both massive and intimate, but somehow they made it happen.
BEEDAZZLE – GELO QUIJENCIO, MULTIMEDIA ARTIST
As someone who’s an anik-anik lover, Beedazzle easily became one of my favorite finds. I love how you can customize your caps, bags, and pouches through their charms, patches, and more. It also makes the perfect Christmas gift with your loved ones because it’s thoughtful, customizable, and something that feels specially made for the person you’re giving it to.
GREYSON CHANCE’S THE GOLD TOUR IN MANILA – NICA GLORIOSO, FEATURES & POP CULTURE WRITER
“OG” is an understatement when it comes to my stanning relationship with Greyson Chance. I love him at my big age of 24 the same way, if not more, I loved him when I was 12. I love his music, I love his voice, I love his songwriting, I love his story, and I love his drive. If you remember him from Waiting Outside The Lines or Unfriend You, check out his new stuff—his recent releases are even better bangers, too. When he came here for his Gold Tour, and I watched him live again after nine years (with 13 years between since I first saw him live), I felt a sense of euphoria, a rush of emotion, that I know was only because it was him and I was there and there was over a decade of life-changing music between us. It was a simple, intimate, show, with just him, his guitarist, his piano, the screen behind him, the great vibes, and us, but the impact? Unmatched.
EVERYONE’S A STAR! (FULLY EVOLVED) BY 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER – NICA GLORIOSO, FEATURES & POP CULTURE WRITER
One thing about 5 Seconds of Summer—you can’t ever say they’re not doing things their own way. Their newest album is both nothing like they’ve ever made before and something that’s very much expected from them as a band who’s had plenty of eras in their over-a-decade-long history. My favorites are I’m Scared I’ll Never Sleep Again, Ghost, and Start Over.
Wicked: For Good – BIANCA LAO, SR. BRAND ASSOCIATE
As a long-time fan of the musical, I’ve been counting down the years until we’d finally see Wicked make its way onto the big screen and to put it simply: it did not disappoint.
Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande’s chemistry and performances were nothing short of phenomenal, breathing new life and nuance into these beloved and well-known characters. And Jonathan Bailey, being the triple-threat he is, delivered a version of Fiyero with so much charm and depth that made me fall in love with the character all over again.
My personal standout in Act 2? Thank Goodness. Not only is it my favorite song from the musical, but Queen Ari gave it the spotlight and emotional layering it deserves. It felt like a love letter to Glinda herself — sparkly, complex, and heartbreakingly human, reminiscent of the performance that Megan Hilty gave (one of my favorite Glindas of all time).
Other unforgettable moments included the electric duet of As Long As You’re Mine, the emotional rollercoaster of For Good, and the surprise of two brand-new songs that expanded the world we already knew so well.
At its core, Wicked remains a story about love, friendship, and the courage it takes to defy what the world expects of you. And with this film, fans and newcomers alike are not only changed for the better, but are reminded that sometimes, the most powerful magic is choosing who we become, not who we’re told to be.
TheHubCebu Puffer Case in Poppy – BIANCA LAO, SR. BRAND ASSOCIATE
TheHubCebu is for all you besties that are looking for ways to spice up the look of your phones. This local shop does not only have a great selection of cases that are affordable, but also a variation of designs that can cater to many different styles and moods. Not to mention, but their cases are also quite high quality and protect your phones very well.
I was luckily able to cop one of their cases under their Puffer collection in the color Poppy and it’s been my favorite accessory so far!
Honestly can’t wait to order more from this shop and push all of you besties to do the same!
Three Card Murder by J.L. Blackhurst – PRECY TAN, CREATIVE SERVICES COPYWRITER
I really liked Three Card Murder by J.L. Blackhurst because it’s not just a clever whodunnit, it’s also about two sisters, which is something I always look for in detective stories. The dynamic between Detective Tess Fox and her con-artist sister Sarah Jacobs adds a layer of family drama that makes the mystery even more engaging. I loved how the story balances suspense with their personal relationship, making it impossible to put down.
Dancing With The Stars S34 – PRECY TAN, CREATIVE SERVICES COPYWRITER
I recently got into Dancing With The Stars because I’m a fan of Alix Earle and ended up binge-watching the whole season. I even went down the rabbit hole learning about all the pros and figuring out who’s who, which made it even more fun. The mix of drama, talent, and unexpected moments kept me hooked every episode, and while I think Alix deserved to win—Disney Night and her Finale Freestyle were on another level—Robert put on a really strong game too.
The Story by After – LUNA ZABALA, MARKETING COPYWRITER
Growing up on DCOM movies in the 2000s convinced me that I, too, had a pivotal coming-of-age moment on the horizon that for sure would be soundtracked by an atmospheric, just-this-side-of-corny song. We all believed we would. The problem was, I didn’t know which track I wanted it to be — until now. Even though The Story was dropped in 2024, it has all the hallmarks of what my Y2K self wanted for my main character moment: lyrical yearning, instrumental breaks to get lost in, and a vibe that demanded to be felt while wearing (wired!) earphones and looking wistfully out of a car window. I’m a bit too old to be “coming of age” now, but this song makes it feel like I might still have the chance to do it all over again.
Pagebound – LUNA ZABALA, MARKETING COPYWRITER
Bookworms, if you’ve ever craved an app that combines the mobile-friendliness of StoryGraph, the book-tracking prowess of Goodreads, and the interactivity of a discussion board, with a pastel aesthetic, then you’re in luck. Pagebound is the hottest new reading app, and it has everyone in a chokehold — me included. Whether you just want to log the books you’ve read this year, chat about your current literary obsessions in the forums, or join a seasonal readalong (AKA a digital book club, but at your own pace!), the app has a little something for everyone.
