Whenever you watch Pinoy Big Brother, you never know what to expect, and that is true for PBB Kumunity Season 10. The recently concluded celebrity edition had its fair share of drama, laughs, heartfelt moments, and everything in between. Anything can happen inside that house and one thing that we didn’t expect was the friendship between Alyssa Valdez and Samantha Bernardo.
While the two individually made for competitors to watch out for, they quickly formed an extremely sweet friendship that proved to be one of the highlights of the season. The two sizzys became best friends as far back as the first week and over time solidified their friendship. While both Alyssa and Samantha didn’t make it into the top two, SamLy left a memorable impression on viewers and formed a friendship that is sure to last outside the house. Here are just some of the moments that showed how unbreakable their friendship was on PBB.
WHEN ALYSSA GAVE A POSITIVE POINT TO SAMANTHA
Ever since Samantha walked through the PBB house doors, she has proven to be one of the least problematic housemates on her season. She was a warm and kind soul that helped make the house as peaceful as it could be. This is something that Alyssa recognized, which is why she gave one positive point to Sam in one of their nomination set-ups. In a way, the point was Alyssa’s way to thank Sam for her efforts.
WHEN SAM GAVE ALYSSA A FOOT MASSAGE
If you were a regular viewer of the celebrity edition of PBB Season 10, then you would know that Samantha was always there to cheer up the housemates. And that was no truer than with her sizzy Alyssa. In one challenge, Alyssa and Madam Inutz had to walk on crutches with one of their legs up. Sam being the best friend that she is was there to help Alyssa by giving her a foot massage to help her relax.

If you want to know how close Alyssa and Sam were during their time in PBB, then look no further than during the positive nominations. Sam didn’t give any of her points to Alyssa, instead giving them to Brenda and Madam Inutz. But during her confessional with Kuya, Sam gave a heartfelt reason why. She said that she knew many people would give their points to Alyssa, so she gave hers to people who needed it more. Like the best friends that they are, Sam said that she knows Alyssa won’t question why she didn’t get any points from her and that they both understood each other. And that is what true best friends are.
WHEN ALYSSA COOKED FOR SAMANTHA’S BIRTHDAY
This moment really warmed our hearts. Early on in the season, Sam celebrated her birthday in the PBB house. Alyssa was given a special task by Kuya, assigning her to help prepare the food for Samantha’s birthday party. What made the moment even special was that Alyssa worked alongside Sam’s mom to make the food. The fact that Samantha got to talk to her mom and that her best friend helped prepare the party made for a truly special birthday.
WHEN SAM AND ALYSSA REUNITED
You know you’re best friends when you miss your bestie even though you haven’t seen each other for just a short period of time. During the season, the housemates were split into two and Alyssa and Sam were separated from one another. But when the housemates rejoined, Alyssa shared how she missed her sizzy. The two even went straight into a chika session like any reuniting besties would.
WHENEVER SAMANTHA WOULD COMFORT ALYSSA
Everyone needs a best friend like Samantha Bernardo and her sweet moments with Alyssa was proof of that. Ever since the beginning of the season, the two have been close and on multiple occasions, Sam was there to be a helping hand to Alyssa. From those simple moments of the two together on the couch, their hugs and other cute interactions, to Sam comforting Alyssa when she heard a message from Kiefer, Sam was there for her. It was those small yet meaningful acts that showed that Samantha cared for Alyssa and vice versa.

Not only does Alyssa Valdez have a heart of a champion, but she has a heart of gold as well. She avoided nomination after nomination and landed a spot in the top two. And Alyssa’s character and spirit were on display with how she would show her love towards Samantha. Not once did Alyssa take Sam’s kindness for granted and found in her a place to be safe and even vulnerable with. It was clear that Alyssa appreciated Samantha and the two no doubt will remain to be sizzys for the years to come.
