But before you set about being your best self this May, we rounded up some of the past week’s best new tracks to help soundtrack your days ahead. It’s time to sound off with these new songs.

UNFORGIVEN – LE SSERAFIM AND NILE RODGERS

Ahead of their first debut, LE SSERAFIM dropped their debut studio album that sees the group share their resolution not to back down in the face of standards set by others in paving their own path. And leading the way is UNFORGIVEN, the title track that blends Hip-hop and Funk rhythm while conveying the message that no limits or boundaries that others drew will ever stop them from moving forward together. When your done listening to the track, make sure to give Eve, Psyche & The Bluebeard’s wife a play, too. You won’t regret it.

PAKI SABI – SUNKISSED LOLA

Sunkissed Lola’s penchant for making heartfelt love songs continues with this chill and breezy tune about letting that special someone know your true feelings.

CURTAINS – ED SHEERN

Well, it’s not curtains for Ed Sheeran’s music career after he won his court case. And it’s a bit of a coincidence then that he won the case right when his new album, -, drops. This time, Ed digs deep in those intimates moments of his life to fuel his latest body of work.

HABANGBUHAY/HABANG BUHAY – DOM GUYOT AND JANINE BERDIN

The vibes on this love song are immaculate and Dom and Janine have us feeling like we’re floating on Cloud 9.

WELCOME TO MY WORLD – AESPA AND NAEVIS

Aespa gives us a little spin with their music on this new track that hits surprisingly deep. And it’s their first collab with naevis, too, which is exciting.

U – IKON

After years of waiting, iKON has finally dropped a new full-length album with TAKE OFF serving as their third LP. And the 10-track album kicks off on a fun note with the summer coded love song, U.

BETTY BRUCE – ALEX BRUCE

Taking inspiration from Betty Boop, Pinay rap star Alex Bruce unleashes her alter-ego with her new single. Reasserting her position as a feisty young rapper celebrating the importance of self-worth and womanhood, Bruce delivers confident verses over ominous beats and cutting, high-octane production. Like the iconic character that her alter-ego is based on, Betty Bruce doesn’t care about what others think: she is a woman of power and integrity, and she takes control of her own decisions, no matter how others try to box her into a specific category.

TAKE IT HIGHER – BELLE MARIANO

Sure, this may be a commercial song for a beauty brand, but it’s still pretty good. The upbeat tempo suits Belle. And that breakdown halfway through the song? We see you rapstress Belle.

LEFT RIGHT REMIXX – XG, CIARA, JACKSONG WANG, AND JAKOPS

And here we were thinking that this song couldn’t get any better. Initially performed at Coachella, this remix sees Ciara and Jackson Wang hop on XG’s hit. This R&B tracks feels even more immaculate.

HERO – ALAN WALKER AND SASHA ALEX SLOAN

While Alan Walker is known for his monstrous beats, his new single is a reflection of his softer side. The track is a cinematic blend of melodies and undulating basslines that pair perfectly with Sloan’s incredible vocals. With meaningful and emotive lyrics that encapsulate an homage to the everyday heroes in our lives, the single is definitely an anthem not to be missed.

DON’T CALL ME PRETTY – GAYLE

GAYLE has had enough of the bs with her ex in her new breakup rock banger. In three minutes, she calls out her ex for only seeing her as just pretty and nothing more.

BETTER – RJ MANULID

Combining RJ’s love for indie pop and hip-hop while applying learnings from film scoring practice, Better is a track that introduces the optimistic vibe of his upcoming the 3rd album. The new single has RJ singing and rapping about cheerful love over sentimental strings, gentle piano, and hip-hop beats.
