Throughout May, New Balance is celebrating all things grey with an exciting assortment of new and classic footwear and apparel styles in a full range of grey shades. Grey Days is an homage to everything New Balance represents and one they’ve been building since the 1980s. Lifeless and boring? New Balance said “not so fast” as they see the color as the embodiment of their dedication to craft, quality, and fearless independence, in every field.
Bright colors and bold colorways have been the MO for many shoe brands over the decades, but in keeping with their independent spirit, New Balance’s use of the color grey stood out while proving to complement the concrete and asphalt backdrop of road running. If you think about it, grey looks good at any speed, and the color remains emblematic of New Balance’s aesthetic and an iconic symbol of the brand worldwide.

For Grey Days 2025, the celebration is an expression of grey as a limitless possibility, and that means brand-new drops to cop. The classic New Balance shade is applied in various forms across twenty-one footwear and eleven apparel styles, ranging from all-time classics to modern favorites.
This 2025, the reissue of the 1300JP – the legendary style released just once every five years, is coming to Grey Days. The 1300JP stands out as one of New Balance’s most sought-after styles, not only because of its rarity but because of its craftsmanship and unique place in global sneaker culture. A good addition to the sneaker collection if we say so ourselves.
Other drops to watch out for this Grey Days 2025 include the launch of the 1906 Loafer on May 14, a reenvisioned classic penny loafer that is a juxtaposition of a sneaker and formal wear, and the arrival of the ABZORB 2010 and 471 in stores on May 22, which are inspired by the brand’s running heritage with the ABZORB 2010 being a progressive take on 2000s-era running and 471 being the new go-to reimagined from ‘70s running silhouettes. It’s going to be a grey summer ATP.
