The cast of Drag Race Philippines season one is something else. No matter what place they finished in, the queens have gone on to be stars in their own right. Case in point: Eva Le Queen becomes the second Drag Race PH queen to represent the country on the international stage. RuPaul’s Drag Race recently revealed the cast for the first-ever Drag Race Global All Stars, which will see 12 queens from different Drag Race franchises compete in a global edition of All Stars for the chance to be inducted into the Drag Race Hall of Fame.

Among the queens of the inaugural season is our very own Eva Le Queen. Following Marian Summers’ exceptional run at UK vs. the World season 2 earlier this year, it’s now Eva’s turn to show the world what Philippine drag is all about. Admittedly, Eva has some big shoes to fill, but we have a feeling she won’t let us down. As we wait for the show’s premiere this August 16, scroll down for a few reasons why we’re #TeamEva.

SHE BRINGS THE LOOKS

Don’t get it twisted, Eva Le Queen is a look queen. During her season, Eva turned out some impressive looks. We still think about her Marge Simpson goes to Malacañang ensemble now and then. Eva delivers polished looks that combine opulence with a dark edge she’s known for. From her clothes, wigs, impressive mug, artistry, and more, Eva gives what needs to be given. Just look at her Filipino-coded promo outfit designed by Leo Almodal. She ate that. Bonus points for the star-shaped dumbbell. We also can’t wait for the Filipino culture she’ll infuse into her All Stars looks.

SHE HAS THE COMEDY CHOPS

We all know RuPaul loves a funny queen or at least someone who can make her laugh. And we think Eva is the queen who can do that. She may have not won the challenge, but her Snatch Game performance is the stuff of legend. Tampalpuke will always be that meme. She’s a well-spoken queen that’s sharp to the touch. We hope this quick-wittedness and confidence translate well to acting and comedy challenges.

SHE HAS CONFIDENCE FOR DAYS

RuPaul always tells queens to not let their inner saboteurs get the better of them and just be their true selves on the main stage. Eva should have no problem doing that. She has grace, poise, confidence, and self-assuredness, while also not being afraid to let her guard down and have fun. The way Eva Le Queen carries herself like a true queen, add to that her ability to work well both alone or in a team, will aid her in a high-pressure competition like All Stars.

Sure, Eva has zero challenge wins under her belt, but that doesn’t deny the fact that she’s a talented queen. She made it to the Top Four regardless and earned her fair share of high placements throughout the season. The seasoned queen and businesswoman has more tricks up her sleeve since her time on Drag Race Philippines. And, she’s also a great performer with a background in performing arts to boot. Eva La Queen doing well on Global All Stars, which we hope she does, will make for the best surprise to her naysayers.

SHE’S OUR ASIA REP

Eva Le Queen has something to prove at Global All Stars. Not only is she our Philippines representative, but also Asia’s as the only Asian queen on the show. And you know we’ll always root for our fellow Asians in a global competition. Eva is here to show the world again the power of Asian drag. As she puts it in her Meet The Queens interview, “It’s high time for Asian drag excellence to be in the Hall of Fame. I’m representing the Philippines but at the same time Asia in general.”
