We are a few days into February, and already the new music is giving. But before we look forward to what this month has in store for us, let’s take one last look back at January (which felt like forever TBH) with this roundup of new music releases. Check out the serves below.

CRY FOR ME – THE WEEKND

Looks like the weeknd is over. Well, not really, but if this really is his last album, he ends it with a bang with Hurry Up Tomorrow the final and most personal chapter of his acclaimed trilogy series following After Hours and Dawn FM

LOVE HANGOVER – JENNIE AND DOMINIC FIKE

JENNIE’s latest release, a collab with Dominic Fike, explores an undeniable attraction to someone who’s both toxic and intoxicating. The song captures the struggle of breaking free from a connection that won’t let go along with a music video that playfully visualizes the many ways the K-pop star sees the end.

TANGING IKAW – SUGARCANE

Valentine’s 2025 OPM playlist? You bet.

GULONG-GULO – IMAGO

This dreamy track is a sonic exploration of love’s complexities and the emotional tug-of-war in choosing to fight for a relationship rather than letting it fade instantly.

MARIA – OLIVER CRONIN AND LOLA AMOUR

It’s an interesting collab that puts Lola Amour’s instrumentality at the front rather than their vocals.

CORALINE – LYN LAPID

Lyn’s latest release gets into the cycle of falling into vices thinking it will be different next time, only to feel out of place and alienated.

ID – SKY-HI, RYOKI, RYUKI, KIMMY, AND FELIP

The way FELIP is part of this lineup with J-pop rappers. We know that’s right! Bars after bars.

LET ME DOWN EASY – JOLIANNE

This one’s for the girls. Written between the ages of 16 and 20, the coming-of-age debut EP captures the transformative period of a young woman navigating the complexities of teenage life, embracing both the charm and chaos of self-discovery. It also explores the trials, triumphs, and messiness of stepping into adulthood while confronting the uncertainties of love, identity, and independence.

GRL GVNG X XDM – XG

There are many words you can use to describe XG. But boring is not one of them. Think XDM Unidentified Waves as a remix album done XG’s way. It takes their signature sound to uncharted territory with reimaginings in different genres.

PIECE OF GEM – PEACEFUL GEMINI

This track embraces the growth, resilience, and clarity the artist gained along the way while getting rid of deceitful energies that no longer serve her purpose for true commitment and progress.

WHAT NEVER LIVED – HANNAH BAHNG

The track, a haunting reflection on mourning a relationship that never truly existed, blends raw emotion with an alternative edge. It delves into the emotional complexities of navigating a modern-day situationship.

FOR YEARS – KREMESODA

Vibes secured and feels felt in this somewhat somber track on waiting for that special someone no matter how long it takes.

HIRAY (HAHARANAHIN KITA) – PAHAM

Now that’s a debut album for this season of love and beyond. The 12-track LP offers an intimate exploration of love, resilience, and hope, and invites listeners into a whimsical journey woven together with themes that speak directly to the heart. It’s wrapped in Paham’s unique blend of modern alt-pop and the soul-stirring essence of harana. Each track is a heartfelt chapter in a larger narrative, navigating the complications and complexities of life and romance in the 21st century.
