The RoxChie tandem of Archie (Elijah Canlas) and Roxy (Xyriel Manabat) on Senior High and High Street has been nothing less than ultra-riveting to watch.

What happens when you put two young FAMAS awardees together in a rollercoaster ride of a youth-oriented thriller-drama? Well, pretty good TV, that’s for sure. Don’t believe us? Elijah Canlas and Xyriel Manabat on drama series Senior High (2023-2024) and its sequel High Street (2024-present) were both pretty much just secondary main characters as Archie Aguerro and Roxy Cristobal, but they’ve emerged as one of the standout pairings of both shows as RoxChie, who were even nominated as Favorite Ship at this year’s NYLON Manila Big Bold Brave Awards.

Many people tune in to the shows to see the volatile pairing’s next matchup on screen, and these days, people are even well-aware of their storylines without even avid watchers of the series. Even BINI Jhoanna had to post about her feelings about RoxChie!

From temperamental enemies to somewhat friends to co-parents brought apart for five years by some dumb mistakes (on Archie’s part, like going to prison), RoxChie hasn’t had it easy. Throw an unplanned child (who is now five after the time jump between series) and a new love interest Dr. Kevin (Ralph de Leon) into the mix, and things are even more complicated. But we move, we live for the drama, and lowkey there is still a chance for them to be endgame. Check out some of our favorite, most relationship-defining moments of RoxChie below!

Witnessing the development of Roxy and Archie’s relationship and dynamics across both shows has been wild and compelling, even amidst the bardagulans, the drama with other characters, and their sometimes-frustrating interactions.

From the falling tank top strap to the kindness the often-temperamental Archie showed towards Roxy, arguing about Sky to Roxy finding out Archie was her secret livestream watcher, every moment that were the definition of enemies-to-lovers in their early stages was fun to watch, as their unique dynamic kept us on our toes.

What is RoxChie without their bardagulan? As IRL friends and actors who admire each other’s talents, Elijah Canlas and Xyriel Manabat are both exceptional in portraying the push-and-pull of RoxChie’s relationship, even before they got together, playing off each other in both dramatic and comedic ways. The chemistry is chemistry-ing.

AND ROXCHIE STANS SCREAMED

The night that changed everything. The famous car scene between RoxChie saw their feelings for each other come to a head after a particularly rough night for Roxy. With their emotions (and inebriation levels) high, the two spent a night that’ll change their lives and relationship forever—and gagged everyone watching.

LETS DANCE, ROXANNE CRISTOBAL

Look how far they’ve come since their testy initial encounters. Dancing at prom was a cute moment between the two, even though things were still definitely weird after the night they spent together (and everything that happened that night). The peace and warmth during the few seconds they danced, though undercut by Roxy’s tumultuous feelings, was a moment of reprieve for both them and us as audiences. Here’s to more moments like this in RoxChie’s future.

THE PROMISE

The finale of Senior High gave as much closure as it did more drama. At graduation, Roxy reveals to Archie that she was pregnant, right after he says he was headed to the States. Archie’s immediate vow to stay and help Roxy take care of the baby was sweet, but Roxy denied him as we screamed “No!” at our screens. Archie still promised not to give up and to return to her, but, well, we know how that turned out.

STOLEN GLANCES

After weeks of waiting, Archie’s finally made his way back to the Philippines to where everyone else is after being on parole. After visiting his sister Z (Daniela Stranner) and getting into a screaming match with his other sister Sky (Andrea Brillantes) first, he was finally glimpsed by Roxy, now a nurse at the hospital. The lingering glances the two send after each other had us holding our breaths.

THE SLAP HEARD AROUND THE WORLD

Definition of chewing the scenery. We kind of expected the RoxChie reunion to end up as something like this, with Archie begging on his knees and Roxy angry and resentful that Archie hasn’t come by to see her and their child—especially after promising to return for her the last time they saw each other. But that slap was crunchy, delightfully entertaining, and honestly pretty deserved. The road to reconciliation for RoxChie will be long and messy on High Street, but we still are very much seated to watch these two eat up their roles, whether they’re screaming at each other or sharing those rare sweet moments.

YABANG VS SELOS

This is technically not a RoxChie scene, but jealous Archie is absolutely hilarious to witness. Driven to reconcile with Roxy and build a relationship with his son, Archie’s plans are hindered by the arrival of a handsome young doctor—whom he calls “mayabang.” To that we say: we recall a time where Archie himself was the mayabang hotshot of Northford High! Regardless, it’s going to be interesting to watch how Archie proves himself to Roxy and Riley (Argus Aspiras) and how he’ll stand against Doc Kevin.

The next few episodes promises some standoffs and jabs, as well as some developments in the whole Roxy-Riley-Archie relationship and the tension between Archie and Kevin. Who new “anak namin” could carry so much weight? Seated for the inevitable bardagulan.

BONDING WITH RILEY

After Roxy gets worried about a missing Riley, she finds her son in the company of Archie, bonding over some cookies. The ice has thawed a little bit, though Roxy is still rightfully guarded. This, as well as Roxy allowing Archie to see their son in the next episode, gives us major hope for these two.
