Aside from the clamor of a BLACKPINK comeback, BLINKS have also hoped and prayed to see the members release their solo material. While it’s been a slow drip, we first got Jennie’s solo in 2018 followed by Rose and Lisa’s in 2021. And finally, the quartet will soon be complete as Jisoo is set to drop her solo debut very soon.
SHE’S COMING
From slaying the stage with her members to commanding the screen in Snowdrop, her first lead actress role in a K-drama, it’s time for Jisoo to take center stage with her solo album. BLACKPINK’s eldest member is releasing her debut single album, Me, on March 31. Given how it comes just a few weeks before their historic headline performance at Coachella, the solo couldn’t come at a better time.
Flower is set to serve as the title track, and from what we’ve seen from the teasers so far, Jisoo is coming for blood. She’s been serving looks in stunning visual films and concept photos that speak to Jisoo’s fierce elegance. The fact that the upcoming music video for Flower is set to be YGE’s most expensive to date and her solo debut already breaking pre-order records means that Jisoo is gearing up to give us a show.
While we don’t know much about the album, yet, the simple yet straightforward title of Me most likely references how this debut will be Jisoo at her core. This is what she wants to show the world, and we’re ready for it. As we count down the days to March 31, we collated a few of Jisoo’s best performances over the past years to serve as yet another reminder that she’s more than ready for this moment. From vocals to dancing, feast your eyes on ears on Jisoo’s musical excellence.
