Authentic gelato shouldn’t be piled high

“NGL, one of the reasons why I like gelato was because of how it was presented in the store. But it turns out, according to TikTok, that authentic gelato in Italy is served in flat containers and it shouldn’t be shown to you.” – Rafael Bautista, Managing Editor
Essays aren’t just for school

“If you have the tendency to internalize all of your stress, and also: 1) have trust issues that prevent you from expressing your feelings; and 2) don’t want to trauma dump on your friends because you love them, then write an essay! I never thought about this before, but as an English major and communications professional, I’d forgotten that I could write just for myself – with no intended audience to consider and no page view quota to hit. Just fire up your word processor of choice and go off! Not every thought has to be heard. Sometimes crystallizing your feelings for your own consumption can be extremely cathartic. That’s why: don’t stop making art, kids. Even if you’re bad at it.” – Maggie Batacan, EIC
How to tear paper
@erin3772 When adding paper to my collages I often want a tear but I’m also a bit of a perfectionist so I like to make the tear happen exactly where I want. If you paint water where you want a tear it makes it much easier to tear the paper. Even when the paper is a little coated like this one you just need to leave the water to soak for a few seconds before attempting to tear it. #paper #papercraft #junkjournal #junkjournalideas #collage #papercollage #mixedmedia #scrapbook #artjournal #tutorial ♬ Bridgerton (Wildest Dreams) – The Theme System
“This tearing paper hack is perfect for crafty girlies! I wish I knew about it back when I was in school, because that would have made art class easier (and more fun). I’ll for sure always remember it when I want to scrapbook (or customize my MyZine).” – Nica Glorioso, Features Writer
Making the Most of Your Accessories
@sarahnunnink creative ways to accessorize with ties, i ofc love wearing them the traditional way, but if u dont, heres some ideas that are also cute and fun #ties ♬ lydia deetz x oblivion grimes – arielle
“Ties are so in these days but not as a regular necktie. I learned you can definitely spice up your outfit by accessorizing with ties in multiple ways: a scarf, belt, choker, and hair tie, hairband, you name it.” – Gelo Quijencio, Multimedia Artist

“As someone who’s always either on their phone or laptop doing work, it is ESSENTIAL for me to keep my workspace breathable and refreshing. So by customizing your lockscreen, homescreen, and apps/folders, it keeps my workspace nicer, neater, and a breather from all the work.” – Gelo Quijencio, Multimedia Artist
DIY Matcha Latte
@greencaffeinematcha How to make matcha lattes at home without tools and gadgets 🔥 #matchalatte #howtotiktok #matcha #homebrew #matchatutorial ♬ everything – –
“I stumbled upon this as I was trying to look for cheaper ways to have matcha at home. As a very matipid girlie, I believe that: if I can do it at home, I will find ways to do it at home. Hence, learning how to make matcha without buying the [expensive] tools was such a hack for me. Thanks to this TikTok video (and a bit of patience) I can enjoy my favorite drink in the comfort of my own home” – Kyla Amadora, Art Intern
Trackers, Trackers, Trackers
@youarelovedtemplates How to make an assignment tracker in google sheets!!! #assignments #studentlife #students #assignmenttips #schoolhack #googlesheets #spreadsheet #assignmenttracker ♬ original sound – Laura Flick
“If you’re a Type A (like me), trackers will always be your best friend. Getting my stuff into a system that would help me get motivated in doing the tasks needed was hard to find, until I incorporated GSheets and trackers into my life. Because of this TikTok, I got to learn different functions in Google Sheets that would help me keep track of my daily tasks! TBH, you can find a lot of videos about GSheets on TikTok. You just really have to find the right one for you, and this really helped me a lot” – Kyla Amadora, Art Intern
