DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN
Here’s a big one. After years in development and a creative restart, Daredevil’s full-fledged return to the MCU begins this month. This is Daredevil’s moment to rise and fight again and confront a past that refuses to stay buried. Matt Murdock, a lawyer dedicated to justice, finds himself on a collision course with Wilson Fisk, now a political powerhouse seeking control of New York. Their rivalry reignites, drawing in returning foes like the Punisher and Bullseye, along with new threats including Muse and White Tiger. Reviving a beloved series, Daredevil: Born Again promises high-stakes battles and game-changing twists for the Marvel Universe. The show premieres on Disney+ on March 5.
MICKEY 17
From the Academy Award-winning writer/director of Parasite, and other worthy smashes, Bong Joon Ho, comes his next cinematic sci-fi experience. In Mickey 17, we follow the unlikely hero Mickey Barnes, who unknowingly volunteers as an Expendable, someone who is reprinted whenever they die. On a colonization quest to an ice planet, Mickey soon finds himself in something way bigger that may mean the official end for Mickey. You can catch the movie in local cinemas on March 5.
THE BRUTALIST
You’ve heard of it during the 2025 awards season, and now you can finally catch it officially in local theaters. Escaping post-war Europe, visionary architect László Toth arrives in America to rebuild his life, his work, and his marriage to his wife Erzsébet after being forced apart during wartime. On his own in a strange new country, László settles in Pennsylvania, where the wealthy and prominent industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren recognizes his talent for building. But power and legacy come at a heavy cost. This epic begins screenings exclusively at Ayala Mall Cinemas this March 5.
PINOY BIG BROTHER CELEBRITY COLLAB EDITION
For its 20th anniversary, Pinoy Big Brother is going big this 2025. And that means, for the first time, the new season will air on GMA. Not only that, the upcoming celebrity edition will feature both Star Magic and GMA Sparkle artists as housemates. We know TV gold when we see it. The new season starts this March 9.
NOVOCAINE
Jack Quaid kinda coming for that sleeper hit bag if you think about it. First was Companion (which we adored), and next is Novocaine. When the girl of his dreams is kidnapped, everyman Nate turns his inability to feel pain into an unexpected strength in his fight to get her back. Watch this in cinemas beginning March 12.
LILIM
Another year, another Mikhail Red horror movie. This time, it’s Lilim, a dark tale that follows Issa and her little brother Tomas as they flee into the woods after killing their father. There, they find refuge at a secluded orphanage. As you can expect, their respite is short-lived as they soon discover the nasty secrets behind the orphanage. Find this in local cinemas this March 12.
NE ZHA 2
You might have heard of this movie for how it is now the highest-grossing animated movie in history, a feat it achieved in just three weeks. Now, you get to see what all the hype is about with the movie’s official Philippine release this March.
In case you aren’t caught up, Ne Zha and Ao Bing are reincarnations of two opposite components of the Chaos Pearl, with Ne Zha being born of the Demon Orb, and Ao Bing the Spirit Pearl. The Demon Orb has given Ne Zha supernatural powers and control of flame, matching his chaotic and rude personality. On the other hand, the Spirit Pearl has given Ao Bing powers of ice that complement his calm and kind nature.
Nezha 2 continues after Ne Zha and Ao Bing have their bodies destroyed by heavenly lightning, surviving as spirits. Ne Zha’s mentor, Master Taiyi, rebuilds their corporeal form using the Sacred Lotus, but as they are recovering, new challenges arise that threaten the balance of the realms. It screens in cinemas this March 12.
BABY GIRL
Better late than never, right? This erotic thriller starring Nicole Kidman follows a high-powered CEO who puts her career and family on the line when she begins an affair with a much younger intern. See what all the talk is about when the film makes its local debut in cinemas this March 12.
THE ELECTRIC STATE
From directors Anthony and Joe Russo comes Netflix’s next big action spectacle. It stars Millie Bobby Brown as an orphaned teen who sets out to find her brother after a robot rebellion nearly destroys the world. Along the way, she meets an eclectic band of survivors, one of whom is played by Chris Pratt. Stream this on Netflix on March 14.
GOOD AMERICAN FAMILY
Ellen Pompeo is finally out of her scrubs in her first TV series where she plays a character not named Meredith Grey in twenty years. In this drama about family, identity, and belonging, a Midwestern couple adopts a young girl, unaware that she is actually a woman with dwarfism. As they raise her alongside their three biological children, their lives spiral into a battle played out in the tabloids, the courtroom, and within their marriage, forcing them to deal with the secrets that could either bind them together or tear them apart. It premieres on Disney+ this March 19.
SNOW WHITE
Snow White becomes the latest Disney princess to get the live-action treatment, and all we have to say is that this could either be surprisingly good (we have hope for Rachel Zegler and her vocals) or a trainwreck waiting to happen. We’ll find out in cinemas this March 19.
THE RESIDENCE
This being certified GOAT Shonda Rhimes’ new show has us #seated. But the fact that it’s a murder mystery set in the White House? Let us file a vacation leave real quick. In this series, detective Cordelia Cupp must use all her skills after a White House state dinner becomes a crime scene and a killer among the dozens of staff members is on the loose. It all goes down on Netflix on March 20.
ERASERHEADS: COMBO ON THE RUN
One of OPM’s most legendary bands gets an equally iconic documentary that, true to the rockstar life, will only be in cinemas for three days. Eraserheads: Combo On The Run provides an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the Huling El Bimbo reunion concert in 2022. Featuring rare footage and never-before-seen interviews, the documentary offers a deep dive into the band’s history, struggles, and triumphs. Fun fact: the movie is the first Philippine documentary to be screened in Dolby Atmos, providing the most immersive sound experience available today. Nationwide screenings will run from March 21-23.
MY LOVE WILL MAKE YOU DISAPPEAR
From director Chad V. Vidanes comes Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino’s first film project as a loveteam that combines romance with magic. Sari is convinced that she’s cursed because every man she loves vanishes. That’s put to the test when she meets Jojo, a brooding landlord grappling with a failing apartment complex. As their paths cross, a romance blossoms as they try to make it work against Sari’s curse. It arrives in cinemas this March 26.
HOLLAND
One thing about Nicole Kidman, she’ll book a suburban mom role like it’s nobody’s business. In this thriller, we follow a family living in a small town in Michigan whose seemingly perfect life is shaken by a dark secret. Adding to the hype factor is that it comes from director Mimi Cave, the same director who gave us 2022’s Fresh. You can stream this on Prime Video on March 27.
NEW SEASONS
Even more new content for March. The Wheel of Time Season 3 (March 13), Gannibal Season 2 (March 19).
