Another slay we fear.

A new single, EP, and tour in the same year? We’re eating good this era!

Calling all A’tin! The Kings of P-pop are welcoming a new era as they dropped the teaser for their upcoming EP Simula at Wakas on January 31. And if their era during their last EP is anything to go by, we’re so hyped for what’s to come. This is more than just a new single, it’s a full blown era for the boys, and their first proper one since they established 1Z Entertainment.

The teaser announced that the first single will be released on February 28, with the EP to follow on April 28. The group also announced they will go on tour starting May 31 to make for another booked and busy year. With their history of making bop after bop, their upcoming release will be another one to watch out for.

THESE VISUALS ARE EVERYTHING

The teaser in itself feels like a blockbuster movie. The worldbuilding is crazy as the teaser starts with a raised and torn red flag where something clearly went down. They also reference their own music with a shot of a barricaded crime scene, with the word ‘PAGTATAG!’ all over the yellow tape, notably the title of their 2023 EP.

Viewers are then greeted by a glowing tree and a woman appearing to pick an apple off the ground nearby (symbolism galore!). Members Stell, Pablo, Justin, Josh, and Ken then appear in brown cloaks, walking away from the tree, with Pablo looking back before the screen shows the title card. Honestly? We’re so gagged, and if we could log this on Letterboxd, we would. If this is just the teaser, imagine how good the music videos for this era will be.

WE ARE SO BACK

This comeback has got everyone talking for a good reason. With members pursuing solo activities last year and it being two years since we got a proper SB19 comeback with a new album, fans are more than ready to see their faves back together. The group’s last single was their 2024 track Kalakal featuring rapper Gloc-9 while their previous EP PAGTATAG! dropped in 2023, so stans have had more than enough time to prepare for this upcoming drop. So while waiting, it’s time for the fan theories and speculation to begin.
