Highlights From The K-Verse Concert That Made For The Best Universe

aespa, Tayeon, and THE BOYZ all in one concert? K-Verse brought us to a universe we never wanted to leave.

It only felt as if it was yesterday that we were being teased on social media that the girls and boyz were coming to the Philippines. And last April 11, thousands of MYs, SONEs, and The Bs packed Araneta Coliseum in the K-Verse concert. The omnibus event saw aespa, Tayeon, and THE BOYZ come together to entertain their Filipino fans, some for the first time.

It’s the kind of lineup you only see on stans’ wish lists. Yet, it became a reality as Filipino fans got to experience the best kind of universe that saw them face-to-face with some of the hottest K-pop acts in the world. TBH, we’re still reeling from seeing these three acts share the same stage. Here are some highlights from the night that we aren’t forgetting anytime soon.

AESPA’S FIRST STAGE IN THE COUNTRY

This was aespa’s first time in the Philippines, and you can bet they made the most of their trip. Even before the concert, the girls were going viral, from Karina eating Jollibee to Ninging and Giselle going shopping in Megamall. And during K-Verse, they delivered as Filo MYs finally got to hear Black Mamba, Illusion, Savage, and more live and in person.

TAYEON AND HER FILO SONES

Filo SONEs were ready to cheer on Tayeon. From chanting her name to singing along to her tracks, fans gave the best kind of welcome to the Girls’ Generation leader.

BIRTHDAY GREETINGS

It wasn’t just fans who got their whole lives at K-Verse, so too did the idols. In particular, the whole arena sang Happy Birthday to aespa’s Karina and THE BOYZ’s Sunwoo, much to their delight.

BACK TO THE PHILIPPINES WHEN?

Given how it was an omnibus concert, aespa, Tayeon, and THE BOYZ weren’t able to deliver a full-concert setlist. Understandably, fans wanted more, and it seems that the idols want, too. First, Tayeon teased that she may return to the Philippines for a concert while THE BOYZ’s Kevin gave a not-so-subtle hint that they may return to the country soon. The power of manifestation, we need you now.

AESPA’S COMEBACK SPOILERS

The only thing drier than the summer heat is MYs starvation for a new aespa comeback. Luckily, the girls were kind enough to give us the slightest of hints to their next comeback.

We thought Karina’s visuals couldn’t get any better. We were proven wrong when we saw her in this blonde look.

THE BOYZ GIVING THE BEST FANSERVICE

If they aren’t noticing fans’ signs, THE BOYZ are giving memorable moments to Filo The Bs, like this lucky fan whose phone was grabbed by Eric.

TAEYON ACKNOWLEDGES FILO SONES’ FAN PROJECT

Filipino SONEs worked hard on their fan project for Tayeon. And it warms the heart knowing that not only did she recognize the project, but she even got a banner from a fan.

Fittingly, actress and K-pop super fan Denise Laurel served as one of the hosts of K-Verse. And when she got to pinky promise Tayeon that she’ll come back to the Philippines, Denise understandably freaked out. Just another successful fangirl moment for the star.
