It’s not just you, this summer heat is intense. But at least it makes for some fun (if humid) summer adventures, and it gets even better with new music by your side. So, check out some of the past week’s new releases we feel need a play this summer and beyond.

SARANGGOLA – BEN&BEN

A tribute to the enduring power of friendship amidst life’s inevitable changes, Ben&Ben’s latest release explores themes of nostalgia, emotional connection, and change as it reflects on cherished moments shared with friends while acknowledging the inevitability of growing apart. But amidst shifting seasons and distances, the track affirms how love and respect remain steadfast.

HENRY, COME ON – LANA DEL RAY

This is not the kind of song you get at first listen. But give it some time, and you get an emotional bop from Lana.

1999 – MARK

Well, it finally happened. Soloist Mark is here with the release of his debut solo album. And just like that, his CV continues to be one of the most impressive in K-pop.

FRESH – PLAYERTWO

At this point, you know a PLAYERTWO song when you hear it with its signature confidence and sound.

MY HOMETOWN IS SINKING – STEPHANIE POETRI

This is just begging to be added to the OST of a teen coming-of-age movie or rom-com.

LIKE JENNIE PEGGY GOU REMIX – JENNIE AND PEGGY GOU

First of all, Peggy Gou? Ate. If the original was badass, the remix is cunty.

IN THE RAIN X XDM – XG

This re-cut from their 2nd mini album is an R&B-inspired track that blends the sound of rainfall with delicate guitar melodies, creating an immersive experience. It expresses the emotions of facing a breakup by comparing it to the sound of rainfall. The lingering, melancholic atmosphere leaves a lasting impression, and the sound of the continuous rain evokes a quiet, powerful resonance, as if confronting one’s emotions.

CUNTISSIMO – MARINA

I mean, it’s in the name. The girls will be bopping to this over the summer.

CALL MY NAME – PEDER ELIAS

Peder reminds us to be there for the people in our lives, especially if they’re going through hard times, with his new song.

MARIA – 1621

Ok, this is a little cute teen romance P-pop ditty.

PAALAM MUNA SANDALI – DARREN ESPANTO

This track has no business being as hard-hitting as it should be, especially when it’s played whenever a housemate gets eliminated on PBB: Celebrity Collab Edition.

MAGHAPON – DYLAN MENOR

This actor-singer’s debut song is a serenade track with a slow and soothing progression, capturing the quiet beauty of companionship. Through the magic of unspoken connection, the song tells the story of someone drawn to another’s presence—enchanted by their eyes and longing to stay close. It expresses the subtle thrill of admiration and the warmth of simply being together.

TWO CENTS – HILLARI

The latest track from this promising artist explores the cost of freedom and self-worth in a world that constantly demands more, making for a vulnerable and powerful anthem for anyone chasing meaning, identity, and truth.
