The OGs who have been there since his acting debut in He’s Into Her know he’s always had that it-boy green flag energy, but PBB has River capturing even more hearts with his good-boy behavior. He’s coming for that fan-favorite spot.

Most may know River as an actor, but that wasn’t the case just a few years ago. Business has always been River’s interest, and, in fact, he comes from a family of entrepreneurs who he wanted to follow in their footsteps. His college degree reflects that, as he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from De La Salle University. Life had other plans for River though, but that isn’t to say he can’t pursue business ventures in the future.

You know that campus crush who ends up making it big on TV? Yeah, River Joseph is that guy. River’s heart bleeds green, as he spent his entire academic life in La Salle. From grade school, high school, and college, River went to La Salle, where he eventually attained his degree in 2023.
HE’S PROOF OF THE TIKTOK-TO-ACTOR PIPELINE

Acting wasn’t an initial priority for River, but when his manager reached out to ask him to audition for Rise Artists Studio after seeing his TikTok videos during the pandemic, River took the chance. He started acting in television commercials before transitioning to TV shows.
He made his acting debut in 2022 with season 2 of He’s Into Her. Over the years, River has gone on to take on supporting roles in teleseryes such as The Iron Heart, Unbreak My Heart (another historic collaboration between ABS-CBN and GMA), and Pamilya Sagrado, which saw him act alongside Gen Z actors like Kyle Echarri and Grae Fernandez and veterans such as Piolo Pascual. With a lowkey career breakout happening thanks to his stint on PBB, we have a feeling River’s going to be booked and busy with projects in the future.
HIS GREEN FLAG ENERGY GOES BEYOND HIS SMILE

It’s amazing how a reality competition show can do wonders for you. Already, River has charmed many viewers and fans with his golden personality, looks, and 10/10 smile. And it’s anything but a show with how River is the golden retriever boy we all aspire to be with. You may have seen the video where his girlfriend (yes, he’s taken) Gela Alonte revealed that River found a way to still send her flowers on their monthsary even when he’s inside the PBB house. The fact that Gela is his first girlfriend, may this love attack attract us.
HE’S INTO SPORTS

River is an active guy, as evidenced by his morning workouts on PBB. But aside from that, he’s also into sports, with his hobbies mainly being basketball and golf. He even played basketball for his high school and said that playing basketball in high school was one of his cherished school memories.
